Amazing display by Miwa. Feels like I'm watching a CNT vs CNT match. Miwa does feel a bit slower in the exchanges though and I'm not sure if JNT's environment will ever allow her to adapt to SYS's speed.
She has arguably the fastest player as senpai on her affiliated team. The bigger problem is that there's no one on the team who has a comparable FH to imitate various scenarios.

It’s certain who’s gonna be the future number one
Wait, remember our little dialog back in March?

As of now, WCQ is the only core CNT player to have lost back-to-back in WTTC 2022 and 2024 (both times in SF).

He said ahead of the WTTC 2024 that he wanted to take on the 1st singles but that was not realistic at the moment and that he wanted to remain undefeated against foreign players.

His MT record in the Paris 2024 cycle is really shaky. Once we look past WTTC 2023 and Asian Games 2022, his MS record is also inconsistent at best. Given that he is just 1 year younger than FZD in reality, if he has trouble holding his own now, there is no telling that in the next few years he will run into the problems that FZD faces right now.

So many of WCQ's usual kill shots coming back and in really tough spots to handle. Even the rallies he almost all lost.
Most players are worn out but the point still holds for him.

Not weak per se, but rather not as strong as it appears.

Togami and Tanaka have mentioned how it was easier than they thought to hold rallies with WCQ in interviews after WTTC 2021 and ATTC 2023, respectively.

WCT has also talked about how he was overwhelmed by WCQ in 3rd ball and speed in the first 2 games before finding his way around them after Asian Games 2022. Tieba users even teased WCQ for having trouble to keep up with WCT in rallies.

As I pointed out last week, he becomes more vulnerable if you manage to find a way around his serve. AJH did just that in the group match.

Miwa is only 16. she was born in June 2008.
This match is giving me more confidence in my prediction she will become number 1 soon.
She gave away G1 just because of her nerves and this new situation.

Miwa will become even more physically stronger, and she is gaining experience fast. She's young and plenty of room to improve. Very high hopes for her. Sky is the limit

I'd add that all junior players lost 1 year to COVID-19 and we all know how much a year of growth could be in that stage. Harimoto is still catching up but I'd argue she has made up for a big chunk of difference after this stop.

imo the biggest lost for many juniors is youth olympics.
2022 postponed all the way to 2026, and still capping age....
last one was 2018, making it 8 year gap.

In her post game interview, SYS was asked a leading question how much did the crowd support help you. During her reply she said something to the effect that they should also cheer for Miwa. I wonder if the toxic fandom is getting too cringey even for her.

The crowd even clapped when Miwa dumped a serve into the net.
