Predictable. SYS needed to lose to a CNT. Today was her first, best chance to go home.
I'm happy for CXT. She worked so hard just to be the fifth player on WCNT. Would be cool if she could win this Finals.

Lets keep it real simple here, SYS didn't lose today cuz of her weight, she lost cuz CXT was better today. And yes cultural differences are a thing. Im Chinese myself and indeed Ive grown up with many family members commenting about different peoples weight. I grew up in Canada since I was 6 and yes Western standards are against talking about women's weight and age. i do sometimes never understand why the westerns think that its okay to bully men about their muscle mass and whatnot but not how skinny a woman is, but I don't truly believe its okay to comment about peoples appearances anyways, at least to the recipients face or on a public social platform. If you have those thoughts, sure go ahead, i wont try to change your opinion because to each their own. But don't go telling the recipients of such comments or posting it on a social media because that's a little low.

I'm not liking this new trend of mid-match tantrums possibly being effective in getting players back into the game.
If this sort of behavior from Moregard or LeBrun becomes a thing at the local club, we're going to wish we only had to deal with the Harimoto wannabes.

I'm a Chinese Singaporean and we do the same. Commenting about appearances is the norm. Too fat too skinny, head too big and body proportion is off.. we comment about everything out loud. Hypocrisy in Westerners are a joke lol.

Great back and forth match between Odo and Ito. Odo wins 3-1, but Mima Ito played exceptionally well especially the 1st couple of games forcing Odo to miss shots that she would normally make. And you could see Odo frustrated which rarely happens. But Odo kept her nerves and was much more selective on her attacking shots as the game wore on.

The hope was up so long as it lasted but Patrick was basically doomed after being down 2-0 and then comeback denied by WCQ being a lot more dominant in the last game. He seems to be back on top but we’ll see how he’ll fare against Turls tomorrow.

Ito had her chances but didn't take them. Could have been 3-1 in her favour or gone to the decider. At least she's staying in the rallies now, and in the post-match interview she finally admitted that she needs to work on winning internal matches too. A step in the right direction but she has a long mountain to climb.

So being a rude asshole to strangers is an upside, lol? That's a weird trait to be proud of.
It isn't hypocritical to be polite to people, in my opinion. Personally, I don't discuss other peoples' flaws simply because it isn't my business, and I do not want to discuss them behind their backs as well.
