When I watch Uda vs Shinozuka, I think of the Sith and their apprentice and how they destroy each other to take the position of thr master lol. Obviously it isn't quite true but you can see the guy who replaced Uda on the team. Would have been nice if we had Sora and Shinopi on the same side of the draw so we could test this analogy even further lol.

Hirano is probably safe now that Rui is the head coach and seems to think well of her. Ito is likely the one who needs the results more I guess.
Coach Nakazawa being a coach of Abyell (Miwa, Hirano, Kihara, Nagasaki, Rin Mende) potentially raises some huge conflict of interest red flags. But we'll see, maybe they can structure the LA2028 selection criteria so as to not show favoritism.

he'll probably resign from Abyell
The other interesting part for me is whether he will be accused of favoring the players with whom he already has a relationship.

Yep, resigning is one thing.
Balancing his relationship with the players formerly under his guidance and leading the Japanese team won't be an easy act.
He was also personal coach for Miu Hirano not too long ago, so there's that too.

Miu btw is in trouble if she can't beat Mina.

In the women's singles quarterfinals, Hina Hayata (Nippon Life Insurance), who is aiming for her third consecutive victory, defeated Saki Shibata (Miki House) 4 − 1. "I was able to hit a ball with speed even in the backhand. I was able to break out of the shell that I was afraid of," she said with a fulfilling comment!

This All Japan held special meaning for Minami Ando as she has decided to retire from table tennis after the end of T-League season in March. Nothing but love from Mima and Mima's mom:
Ito appears to have a soft spot for retiring players. In the QF of the 2018 Japan Nationals, she was also very warm towards Yuka Ishigaki (Former JNT Chopper) after their match. Ishigaki had announced that she was retiring after that edition of the Japan Nationals, so Ishigaki had her final professional table tennis match against Ito. https://world-tt.com/ps_info/ps_report_detail.php?bn=185&pg=HEAD&page=BACK&rpcdno=82

Well, she gets a real test in semis - it is really funny to me at least how they put semis and finals on the same day and have only one day of quarters - now I think about it, it is probably to have decent value for visiting spectators in terms of number of matches.

The fact that JTTA still approached him means that the management has come to the conclusion that the benefits far outweigh the risk and still wants him for his familiarity with the CNT.

Hayata's arm is a ticking bomb. Ito has even expressed that she might not play 4 more years. Kihara and Nagasaki are stuck. Odo and Yokoi have yet to prove their worth when it matters. The up-and-coming players from Harimoto's generation has not even "graduated" from junior events. That makes Hirano and Harimoto the only ones that you can count on at the moment, especially now that they want nothing but gold.
