Past her prime Zhu Yuling (30) beats a Hirano(24) whose status is very unclear - she should be in her prime by age but is past her prime by achievements...

good match from ZYL but it felt to me that Hirano took it a bit too lightly as a practice match... she lost G2 on deuce after wasting many game points while ZYL converted her first and only game point...
then G3 was tough to watch

we will see but i don't think it will happen again.

Hirano had a tough loss 3-4 to Ito after holding match point in G6 in Zennihon last month...

I don't understand why Hirano didn't change anything in G3. ZYL was winning all the BH to BH rallies...
ZYL looks quite slower than in her prime but she's well covering the table without much moving and her BH quality is intact.

maybe her biggest win since her comeback ?

Big win for her, but she was favored nearly 60/40 in the betting odds. So maybe not a big surprise. Aside from the final game, looked like it could've gone either way depending on a point or two.

Limit of 1 full pair consisting of players of the same table tennis association.

China could have entered 4 players in XD or Doubles E.g CHN/CHN, CHN/AUS, CHN/JPN but they choose to only enter the one.

It would have been great to have seen China paired up with some of the players from other table tennis association. They can help some of the smaller nations make table tennis grow in those nations if they can make it to the semis or finals.

Does CNT still view Kuai/Lin as the Mixed Double pair at the 2028 Olympics. I still see Chuqin/Sun being superior to them.

Liang Jingkun isn't playing well at all against Dima right now. He cant cover his wide forehand at all and his footwork has been poor.

Liang Jingkun is really underperforming today. He’s moves are sluggish and his backhand is not as stable as it normally is, but it looks like he’s climbing back in this third game. He bounced back even more in the fourth game

Liang is now doing the right thing when his footwork is poor. He is playing with more spin, which makes Dima's aggressive BH (that has been on fire this match) miss more.

I just told you. Terrible, poor ventilation and old tech. you can buy them on eBay and whatnot
