Does anyone know why LGY did not play at Singapore Smash. He is now out of the top 10. Is he already benched?
Oh ok, then that's totally understandable. So he is still in the main rooster of the CNT tabletennis team. His father passed away not long ago. In his social he said he needed some time.
you should check chinese news, it was in the news. How come they banned them, yet they still throng every match and cheer for the players, which is which? And where they banned randomly or for a specific reason?
the Germans has they own home club, and during a big chunk of the year, the players are all training at they own home club. What makes the German team or the Korean team different from the Chinese team in terms of coaching structure?? Coaches are few and far between, and lines are blurred. China just has more players than other national team usually accommodates which necessitates putting couple players under one coach.

I don't think anyone has said that, contrary to your position. The issue is the balance between truly allowing an individual to compete and fulfil his potential regardless of the situation vs relegating him to being someone who helps fulfil the potential of others or what the country's establishment wants largely on the basis of the assessments people have of his potential rather than some clear and externally validated criteria that is easily fair to all. It's okay to disagree on this, but calling it "wilful naivety and dogma" pretends that there are no issues to be discussed at all, or that there wasn't already a long and controversial history of this in China.Very astute observation.
In fact teams like Japan more or less copied the make-up of the CNT as much as possible but retained some Japanese characteristics ( like clubs etc)
But when I point this out, my logic is laughable and I am the foreign spokesperson for China.
Some people think just because the system of governance is different means one team is automatically compromised, inhumane and condemned, and other teams are all roses and petals. Talk about wilful naivety and dogma.

You should look up his story. LGY’s dad was the reason why he played so well. His dad was very poor and worked around the clock to support LGY’s legacy in tt. Apparently his dad accumulated some significant illnesses due to intense work, leading to an early death.
That is such a depressing story for a son to bear, I am sure the man was proud of his son, well done, LGY.
Have you got a link?you should check chinese news, it was in the news.
I get your point, but this doesn't explain a disparity in coaching structure. I'm mostly curious about how many players are in the national team, how the national coaches are assigned to players, and are there any teams with a burgeoning amount of players in the national team. Japan resolves the tension and inevitably hard decisions that need to made by only hosting 7 players + 5 backups in the National team. How are things run in Korea and China?the Germans has they own home club, and during a big chunk of the year, the players are all training at they own home club.
China, the home club is the national team. The league club, is only 2 weeks in a year.
big difference.
that thread was hijacked by zeio to be a pro china car thread by the looks of thingsI am just wondering why the 2024 Singapore Smash is still getting posts, while the 2025 is not.

From the looks of the latest Pong Space video, she is expecting a child which explains your puzzle. No more Kim Kum Yong or Yang Xiaoxin on the entrants list. Yang still hasn't played since the China Smash last year, nor has she competed in any club matches in Poland or in the Champion's league this season.
