What’s going on guys! Back in 2021 we filmed a TTD Team penhold tournament that didn’t get aired…. Till now!

As you all know the TTD Team are shake handed players.. In this video we’re gonna see who can play the best with penhold grip!

Lock in for the TTD Team knockout Penhold edition! 🏆

Dan took secretly penhold lessons from Dima.
When I saw Dima play penhold I was surprised by his rpb. Wondering if the stroke for shakehand backhand is similar to rpb. Asking as a player whom never played shakehand before.

No insight from me, but it sure looked like Dima played around a decent amount with penhold and there was the video with Adam and Xu Xin and the latter said how easy shakehand backhand is.

How is it Dan goes to penhold and all of a sudden appears to have more power in his game.

I'm not joking. I really think he should switch.
It's because he's forced to make a faster, looser swing, instant power upgrade.

I agree.

Back in the day I use to play shakehand. Had a good BH but always felt like my FH was just meh. Then goofing around one day I flipped the paddle over and instantly it was big FH. Something about it clicked. That was 16 years ago.

Dan should see it's the same thing going here. Now all he has to do is not do the mistake I did (and he knows this) and realize RPB is a thing and learn the right from the jump.

If he does that, he'd probably be a better player with this new unlocked power. As it stands now, Dan has always been a good control player but we can all see has no power (in comparison to his teammates. They're all good players).
