Hana Goda v Shin Yubin did not disappoint.

These Champions events mostly show how big the gap is between the seeded players and the rest of the top 30 wr. Very few competitive matches out there.

It was a very tough test for CYY but I think he performed great and tested him. I agree that the BH made the difference, but I believe he’s got so much potential with an already developed FH, he just needs to practice that BH mode and then he’ll be a dangerous player. I already think that CYY is better than ZQH and he is close to XP, HYZ, and WRB, tho I’d argue CYY better alr but I really rate WRB as one to watch for the future
I don't think you can really survive in this day and age without a good BH. It's not like he has other superlatives to fall back on either. I like HYZ's game a lot better. I'm a bit leery about WRB. XP is another guy without a great BH, so it's hard to see him rise up much further as well. XYB had some potential, but if he hasn't learned how to play the service/receive game by now it seems unlikely that he ever will. IMO next to HYZ the next most promising young player currently is Li Hechen. He's only 15 but already has a really solid BH and service/receive game. I think he's gonna join the A team soon and he'll grow very rapidly once his competition level is increased.

Still has trouble dealing with KNT players.

R16
LSD 3-2 AJH (-11, 2, 6, -6, 5)
G5 51, 72, 73, 83, 85 TO for LSD, 95 epic point, 115

Citing his close matches and losses to KNT players (CSM, JWJ, CDS, AJH etc.) who are all about serve-n-attack and all-out FH step-around, I wrote in 2023 over at MyTT that 前提係對面畀你爆先/the prerequisite to LSD's game is that the opponent cedes the initiative and lets him blast first. That's how Faraji got the upper hand in their R32 encounter. In the short term, LSD needs to solidify the close-range part of his game or he will start losing like WCQ, who is on the other end of the spectrum in terms of range.

By missing two monster kill shots in the last game he had to win, at professional level, Uda's mental strength is seriously in question. Also, the majority part of the whole game he was leading with good margin, he still managed to let Felix close in. These two massive misses resulted a swing of 4 points directly handing Felix a clean victory.

These two choke points will be in Uda's dream tonight.

Why Felix is so effective against JNT players including Harimoto? The major reason: speed. He does everything, serve, serve return, push, not mention his RPB fast, really fast. Most JNT players play with fast pace and have upper hand taking initiatives in attack. They have difficult times dealing with someone even faster than them.
