But Togami was playing Alexis, while Uda was playing Duda...The net tried its best to help Uda but it wasn't enough. Many unforced errors going for big forehands by Uda, kind of reminds of Togami...
This is strange because I looked back at the first set and do not notice any irregularity in the count of 0-2, 2-2, 2-4, 4-4, 5-4 etc.The umpire messed up the score. It should have been 3-1 in favor of WMY, but he stated and entered the score as 2-2.
At 1-2 Diaz's shot didn't hit the table, it hit WMY's racket, so would've been 3-1 afterwards instead of 2-2.This is strange because I looked back at the first set and do not notice any irregularity in the count of 0-2, 2-2, 2-4, 4-4, 5-4 etc.

Yes, indeed now I can see it too. Thanks! At 1-2 Diaz's shot didn't hit the table, it hit WMY's racket, so would've been 3-1 afterwards instead of 2-2.
It was exactly the same against Kanak. Kanak looked like a snail while he tends to be faster than other players. Felix the Flash Lebrun.By missing two monster kill shots in the last game he had to win, at professional level, Uda's mental strength is seriously in question. Also, the majority part of the whole game he was leading with good margin, he still managed to let Felix close in. These two massive misses resulted a swing of 4 points directly handing Felix a clean victory.
These two choke points will be in Uda's dream tonight.
Why Felix is so effective against JNT players including Harimoto? The major reason: speed. He does everything, serve, serve return, push, not mention his RPB fast, really fast. Most JNT players play with fast pace and have upper hand taking initiatives in attack. They have difficult times dealing with someone even faster than them.
Shinozuka is more well-rounded, he has better defense, tactical awareness and doesn't get nervous, but his techniques and power lacks behind TogamiGreat comeback by Shinozuka. Okay so maybe he has surpassed Togami...lol, I need to see more.
that was painful to watch, poor alexis.WCQ back to being unplayable.
Not really, Alexis felt he had no chance playing the style he usually does against other players which often involves leaving the table (probably because of the angles and power of WCQ) but i feel he has to learn from experience as this was the first time they have met. It took Truls time to learn. Felix doesn't do that much better either. So I would say ultimately a required step. Whether in the right direction, time will tell. These brothers try to raise their game so they need to see how good they have to be.that was painful to watch, poor alexis.
