This is the best chance for Felix to win given LJK's left thigh.
QF
Comebackman 3-2 F. Lebrun (-8, 9, 10, -3, 5)
That laugh from the bleacher at 10:5 of G5 made my day...

Lying low or not playing at their best ?
Either way, LGL would not forget to put Miu Miwa Hina front and center of the posters next month.
Miwa said in a recent interview that her goal was WTTC 2025. At the end of last year, she said her next goal was All-Japan. Therefore, nothing in between matters. And now that Nakazawa (Kinoshita) is at the helm (officially starting on 4/1), 2025 will likely be useless as I suspected. All of the top women have lost to non-CNT players (borderline left and right).

Sucks for Felix.

LJK had hit at least 7 nets and edges. Luck is just not on Lebrun's side. A really close match
He needs a different level or should I say flavour to his game that is not fast, furious, score".

How to beat WCQ?

A. Lebrun: Lob him down.

This message was brought to you by Michael Maze.

Truls didn't even win up to 30% of his serves, must be due to Chuqin's big head.

Proof that Moregard didn't win but WCQ lost instead at Paris 2024.

WCQ has just demonstrated how hopeless against him when he is in such a unplayable form. He was in such dominant form that even usually hot-temped Truls was tamed though out the match. The smile of both players after the one sided match showed Truls recognized he didn't have much chance against his opponent in great form.

Really, Truls didn't play poorly just WCQ was too strong, or unplayable.

Well, Truls still has a chance beating WCQ if he waits long enough to let WCQ enter a down cycle.

For Chinese coaches, their challenge is how to help WCQ get out of the usual long slump quickly, a couple of weeks rather than months.

高球又丢了 (Missed the lob again)
https://tieba.baidu.com/p/9576294508
These tieba fans are really mean spirited making a big fuss about just one lob kill miss. If you are so dominant through out the whole match, missing a lob kill is really not a big deal. I'll treat it as a mercy point to the poor opponent.

Talking about missing lob kill, it happens to all pros, even to the goat, Ma Long who's lob kill miss handed the match to LSD last year.

Yeah, like Ryu didn't win in Athens, Wang Hao lost. Cut this out.
You can't be comparing RSM with Moregard.

Moregard even said he didn't even want to practice after seeing the (shitty) draw.

RSM beat Waldner that took out MLin when Cai Zhenhua expected Waldner to reach the final. RSM also proved his Olympic gold by beating WLQ and MLin (both with Oh Sangeun coaching at the bench) before losing to WH at World Cup 2007. RSM also beat WH in their first 2 encounters (MS and MT) at the Asian Junior Championships 1999. And before Athens 2004, there were 2 matches that went down to the wire, with one being World Cup 2003. Wu Jingping has also written articles on the Olympic loss, concluding that WH not being able to hit down-the-line with the RPB was the critical factor.

As rpb23 said, WCQ was so good it didn't matter. But it doesn't mean there won't be other or better days.
I don't disagree.
I was trying to point out the cognitive dissonance of those that believe it's WCQ's head behind all the wins.

They are telling the truth. WCQ has had problems with lobs.

Hao Shuai was dominant against Michael Maze at WTTC 2005 before the latter turned to lobbing. Similar issue for WH the round before (much less remembered and discussed). It was after those 2 losses that the CNT finally patched the loophole.

WCT also had this problem. No one fixed it until I took it to the local forum and rubbed it in, rubbing a lot of members (some of them on the team) the wrong way.

CXT seemed possessed against QM. Most of her shots were so determined and with force, unlike her usual stable style. Maybe revenge was in her mind as last time they met, QM thoroughly destroyed her.

If CXT can play like today all the time, her career would be on another level. She has the physical condition and skills to do that just lacks of aggressiveness.

WCQ is a much stronger player than Hao Shuai. Usually Wang's shots are so fast and powerful that his opponents lose the point before they even get into the lob. Seriously, unless WCQ is in a slump, no one dares to purposefully lob to him.
