Hi. I am not sure if i should seal my blade or not. I hear mixed opinions all over the internet. What should I do? The blade that i will order is the Thibar Stratus Powerwood
I would say yes.
I have had blades splinter before when removing rubbers and it's not nice.
There is no chance that you'll notice any difference in the blade after sealing it.
A very thin layer of polyurethane varnish is all you need.

I’d recommend sealing your blade. Sealing protects the wood from splintering, especially when changing rubbers frequently. While it's true that applying too much lacquer can create problems with rubber adhesion, a very thin, even layer will prevent these issues and maintain the blade’s performance. In the long run, it's worth it—even for budget-friendly blades like the Stratus Powerwood.
