Table Tennis Clubs/Shops in Taiwan

Hello and Good Day.
Its my first time going to taiwan and staying in taipei at the LuckyOne hostel near Expo dome.
I want to play there. Any recommendations?
Whats the playing culture like?
Language barrier?
Do you need to bring a friend to play or can you play with the people over there?
Is the table per hour or a whole day rate?
Playing fee or entry is usually at what price?
Are there any table tennis shops to visit? :D
and Any tourist spot recommendations?

Thank you and happy holidays

the third one is a 24/7 place
the middle one is a university, and mon to friday, they play from 5pm to 10pm
weekends is 9am to 10pm or something like that.

I know the people at the university, let me know when you going ahead of time and I can ask them to get some similar level players to play with you.

Is the 3rd one (華強桌訓) now a 24/7?

I went there a few times in late 2023 and it would close around 11pm.

This is the club Adam Bobrow usually goes to and filmed “what happened?!”
to be honest, I'm not sure, haha
I haven't been there for 10+ years

it changed ownership these few years, so not sure if it is 24/7 or closing 11pm.
I think covid time, maybe the hours was affected - but can always call ahead of time.

and yes, that is where Adam filmed the "what happened"

On my way to the "What happened" club now. Hopefully it's not so busy and not so empty at the same time :D
not sure how many people plays in the morning - but good luck.

the TMUST was actually not opened yesterday because Chuan Chih-Yuan and Yeh Yi-Tian was filming a commercial and had hired out the hall.

I was nearby so popped in to say hi.
They had a proper crew - over 20 or maybe even 30 filming staff....

They're having a local round robin tournament and let me join. The level is not really high, mostly of recreational players. It's very relaxing and people are fun to play with, which I really like.

Edit:
Apparently this is their junior and intermediate tournament, with the advanced tourney held yesterday already. I won all my matches but not really happy... You can only beat what's in front of you, I guess.

I stayed till the early afternoon and had very narrow games with with two really good kids. Lost to the guy in high-school and beat the middle school guy. But they're really good for their ages. The club owner told me they play at schools every day, so I guess they're in school teams.

In Taiwan, schools has 2 kinds
one is sports class, where qualification matrix is around sport performance. and this class will have different hours to the rest of the school - ie finishing school earlier, to allow for training (of all various sport codes).

then you have normal class, where kids play in the table tennis society after school.

one is full time training, the other is hobby style.
Then in the sport class you have different grades - A grade, or B grade.
This is based on the schools setup (and hiring of a full time graded coach etc).
The school is either A or B graded, can't be both. So kids follow this route, will chase the school based on they TT journey goals.

so we can say there is 3 kinds
1A, 1B and 2.

I would say, the ones that would play there are 1B or 2.

I went to Taipei's 3 highest rated TT stores on Google Maps and to my surprised the variety of stocks are not great at all. There are no Stiga Cybershape Wood/Clipper or Andro Synteliac inner carbon blades. Close to no higher end Xiom blades and rubbers as well. Butterfly are so dominant here, I guess.
