I went to Taipei's 3 highest rated TT stores on Google Maps and to my surprised the variety of stocks are not great at all. There are no Stiga Cybershape Wood/Clipper or Andro Synteliac inner carbon blades. Close to no higher end Xiom blades and rubbers as well. Butterfly are so dominant here, I guess.
no body really buys TT from retailers nowadays
everything is online

also, it is rare you find a store that focus on many brands
Boll TT focus on Butterfly
tabletennis.tw focus on Andro
there is another store that focus on Donic

I dont think any store in Taipei focus on Xiom - it is in Taichung

I'm going to Taichung for some TT with an old friend this Thursday so may check the stores there as well. So far I bought a Stiga Surge, which is not cheap, but considering it's not available outside China/Taiwan, I'm happy with it.

Also does the university club open to the public? I might go there this afternoon if it's accessible.

I played at varsity level in the UK around 10 years ago, but life happened and my level has dropped quite a bit. But I really miss the feeling of playing at a uni club.

Thank you :D

At 6:50, only me and two older people are at the club. Not my lucky day, I guess.
i did say you should let me know in advance, so I can get them to call people to come :)
I did that for a Malay U15 national player, and there was a dozen players that came that wanted to challenge him :p

also, they have an online booking, today only 7 people booked to come, so indeed a quiet night. (for reference, there is like 15 tables)

do you travel by car/scooter, or use public transportation?

I didn't know that I would be able to come definitely as I hiked the Qixing yesterday and my legs hurt. Anyway, I got to play with a decent guy, probably around 1800usatt. But well, maybe I will try my luck again another day before I leave.
