Glad to hear you managed to get 2 AJH backup blades. Let me know if the normal and pro version feel different for you, and which one you prefer overall. As we discussed before, they should feel slightly different due to the difference in construction. Even Hugo TMXi and AJH Pro have same overall thickness but the above picture from @Xiaoys really highlights the difference in core thickness as well as middle ply thickness.
As soon as i get the Pro version and play it, I'll post my impressions.
Can you please give me the link with the pictures of user Xiaoys, where the differences in core and middle plies are depicted?

a few comments later, if I understand correctly, he states that the blade on top is ajh pro. also looks like my ajh pro

check #95
I understand that the top is AJH TMXi Pro and bottom is Hugo TMXi Pro.
I'm more interested in comparison of AJH TMXi with AJH TMXi Pro.

But next week I'm getting my AJH TMXi Pro and I'll compare it myself with the normal version. I'll post close ups.
I'm really curious if there would be difference in core and plies thickness.

Hello all!

It's my understanding that generally speaking, Xiom inner blades have handle similar to BTY inner and Xiom outer blades have handle similar to BTY Viscaria.

Is that valid for Hugo TMXi (inner) and Hugo ALX (outter)?

Cheers!
Don't think that's quite true as I do not find Ajh tmxi pro handle similar to Bty Innerforce Alc. Probably anyone with Otcharov Alc can attest if this is similar as it's definitely chunkier than innerforce Alc.

No that's not true at all at least for inner blades.
I have a Butterfly Innerforce ZLC and a Xiom AJH TMXi blade.
Their handles are totally different. Butterfly's handle is thinner and less roundish than Xiom. Compared to AJH TMXi Pro is even thinner.
About outer blades I have no opinion. I had a Viscaria in the past (has a thicker handle than AJH TMXi) but never had a Xiom outer blade.

Hey, thank you guys for clearing that up. I was basing my assumption on the info here: https://ttgearlab.com/index/#table-Xiom
The last Xiom blade I played and still play with is my old Hayabusa ZX, that I have since it was first introduced over a decade ago. The blade is awesome but the handle is a bit too thin for my liking. I'm eyeing these new Hugo blades and I was hoping for thicker handles.

Cheers!

Hi friend, please check core thickness of new Hugo TMXi PRO and AJH TMXi PRO. You can use magnifying glass and handles side by side... must be clearly visible. It's very important. Thinner the core - more feeling and dwell time. Thank you very much.
OK! We can clearly see the differences between them!
It looks just like DHS's W968 and S968!

SMH🤦🏻
Hugo Calderano who just won the World Cup uses Hugo HAL which is DISCONTINUED. Bruh…
Yup, its a big shame. Xiom made a one of a kind blade with the Hugo HAL. For some reason, allegedly material shortage, it got discontinued.

Both new hugo blades (Hugo ALX and Hugo TMXi) are not being used by Hugo himself, as he prefers the HAL. Still great marketing for Xiom with his phenomenal win at the ITTF World Cup in Macao. I wonder if Hugo uses the C55 or the C57.5 nowadays.
