i agree, i just can't put speed on the ball when i want to, its a hardcore looping rubber with gr8 spin but u need to adjust to get the most out of it.
If you put your back into it, engage your whole body torque, stabilizes your core, tighten it, explode upon contact, feel the ball bite into your rubber and leave with spin ( listen to the sound ) = pure ecstasy! It can be addictive!

Ultimate, holy grail? No. D09C was invented so that non Chinese National Team players can have something that could compete with player version National H3 blue sponge. One of the best rubbers you can actually buy that approach National H3 performance and not have to boost, probably.

Of course it is you sillies! That was a rhetoric question.

It is a loopers' paradise.
Close to table - checked!
On the table loop - checked!
Mid distance loop-a-loop - checked.
Far distance - not sure coz' not my game style.

Couple with flexy all wood blade; one reaches TT heaven.
I disagree. I tried it for a month and it’s just too demanding. Every stroke with dignics 09c has to be precise with good body mechanics and power. I know a couple of other players of high level (around 2200- 2300 USATT) who also tried it and told me they were unable to consistently produce quality shots with it because the hardness made it too demanding for them when they were out of position or had limited time to do their stroke.

So yeah, it’s probably the holy grail for a lot of professionals or players with a very agressive serve and third ball attack but not for 95% of us. In my club there is not one player who plays with dignics 09C, not even the guys who play at the highest level. All of them use rubbers between 42,5 and 48 degrees hardness.

  • D09C is for the thrills. You play, you go home, shower and recall those wonderful memories of stupendously spinny shots you executed.
  • NatH3 is insane; but if they get paid to do it for the potential abuse of their body, let them decide the risk to reward.

Highest level and using 42,5 to 48 degree hardness? Sorry but they won’t be „real“ high level, at least compared to Asian or European players/clubs.

isn’t National topsheet softer and thinner than Provincial? Blue sponge
thinner - not as far as I know.
the quality is better, not sure if you would call that softer though.

with these prov and national versions, you also have Professional edition (one step below players edition)
