Ever boosted Thibar Evolution MXP ????

I am fixing a club-mate's Viscaria , it had a bit of an encounter with
some sharp edges.
There is no time or money to get replacement rubbers so the
MXPs will have to go back on to the blade but of course they have shrunk quite a bit.

Has anybody done a boost using any of the safe oily boosters and what were the results ?
All it needs is to make them a bit larger again

I rekindled my MX-P with Falco Tempo Long, and it lived to see another 2 months of play.
Just keep in mind that the booster will near the inevitable death of the rubber.

Does falco make it more faster?

I tried Seamoon on MXP, but it doesn't really have effect

I have personally no experience with these rubbers but to me they look already dead. 😂

Does falco make it more faster?

It becomes slightly faster on blocks and short touches, thus a bit more linear. But it's a minor change, nowhere near the effect the booster has on the Chinese rubbers.

Not mxp specifically, but I'm currently playing with baby oil boosted bluestorm pro am rubbers, both are esn, so I'd guess the effect would be similar.

The effect was strong for about a month, then the rubbers just died. Feeling remained good, spin was also fine, but the speed of the rubbers just took a dive.

I have them on my viscaria and my mate's donic burn off and baracuda is pretty much the same speed, if not faster.

Right after the boost it gained a ~10% increase in speed across the board and got a touch softer with a livelier feel. Then after the month I saw at least ~50% loss in power on slow shots, to the point where I'd need to put effort in passing the net at touches, and lost about another 30~40% of mid and top end power during topspins. Feel didn't change much, it still has that springy tensor feel.

I think it's fine if you are planning to order a new set of rubbers and you just want to use your old ones until they arrive, but for nothing more. After they die, they also loose a bunch of consistency, they react weird to different power inputs. Tenergy holds much better with baby oil boosting in my experience, it doesn't fall off that quick, and the fall off isn't that severe.

You may find better luck if you put a single layer on the bare sponge. Boosting above a glue layer is nice for Chinese rubbers, but I think that bare sponge is better for factory boosted rubbers.

I do not routinely apply a layer of glue first, I think it is a waste of time.
Because the rubbers are actually torn at the edges i did the glue-trick to prevent the booster seeping through to the top rubber's playing side 😁
