Tacky Rubbers tackiness goes away after a few sessions, even with cleaning.

Is it just me, or do most Tacky Rubbers lose their tackiness after a few sessions, even with constant cleaning?

I am an intermediate player, and I started playing with Loki's tacky rubbers, starting with Rxton3, Rxton5 pro, Rxton 9, and now Hurricane 3 Neo.

I noticed that in all of the rubbers, they start out tacky as hell, like the ball would stick on the rubber for 2-3 seconds, but after multiple sessions, it would not stick at all.

Is this normal? I am not that flush rn to keep buying rubbers now and then to get tacky rubbers.

Should I go with Tensor rubbers instead to be able to save on buying rubbers?

Thanks for the replies!!

how you are clean
I clean them with this Yinhe Rubber Cleaner bottle with a sponge on top. I apply whatever it is on the bottle (seems like soap lol) and wait for like 15 seconds, and then dry it with another sponge. I do this always at the end of my sessions and then put on the white plastic film that comes with it on the packaging.

Maybe you should use Chinese sticky rubber special rubber cleaner.

tacky rubbers do loose tackiness at some time... Abt your cleaning, it is fine as long as you make sure the rubber is dry before you put on the plastic non-sticky film.
If it is damp when you put on the film and keep it, it might loose (quickly) its tackiness and eventually grip -- this was was experience real some time back

Just sharing my experience:

With Glayzer 09C it was non-tacky straight out of the packaging. Dissapointing!

With Dignics 09C it is still tacky after one month of playing; two to three session per week of two to two and half hours.

D09C FTW!

Gozo, I thought using tacky rubber was for people who suffered. What happened to you?

D09c is tacky, not all hybrids are. You have changed, Gozo and it is a bit scary.

Wait! Hold on a minute... not all hybrids are tacky? Then why are they called hybrids. I mean why not just call them hard unplayable rubber instead.

To the OP. Topics like this always suggest clean after every practice. Put covers on. etc. I'm sure you always do this.

I've always felt to your main question, yes. That's normal and just how it is.

A lot of them, not all, can pick the ball off the table and hold it in the air for a long time fresh out of the package. They're sticky. But after a few sessions and after you clean, etc. Before you know it that ability to do that is gone. Maybe pick the ball off the table for a split second.

So long as you have really good grip, then you're fine. I've tried a ton of Chinese tacky rubbers over the years and some euro ones. My impressions about that degradation over the first few weeks or so has always been this.

Chinese:
new = Tacky. used = still very grippy. Great grip. I mean the clear plastic films stick to them. That doesn't really happen as much with euro style rubbers. So there is still some tack.

Euro:
new = Very grippy. used = still grippy but to a lessor amount and still nowhere near as good as a used Chinese sheet.

So for that reason I'm a Chinese guy. It's just the feel I like. Anyways, my advice is to not worry about it. It's normal. So long as you have very good grip, which you will, you're fine. You wouldn't want your rubber to be like fly paper or something crazy tacky. It would slow down the ball too much.

I restored the tackiness on Rakza z by coating it with olive oil when even spinmax wasn't working so well
