Hey guys, I recently noticed a very subtle and quiet click sound, whenever I shake my racket or bend it slighlty.
Is this a small crack or could this be something else?
I once had something similar, just in a stronger form, and that one indeed had a crack and was unuseable. I really hope this wont happen again soon.

For context the blade in question is the AZXi on my profile, was sealed and stored (when not in use) in a hard case for 90% of its timespan.
It was used for roughly 2 years ~ 2-3 times a week.

If you're lucky it's one of the handle scales coming off slightly.
If not... It might be a crack
Yeah...
for now i will keep playing and see if it gets worse.

In the meantime I will be looking for an alternative if it really brakes.
But I have no idea what to get though. Nothing out there that really speaks to me.

I have never seen a blade break with less been hit hard at something else than a TT ball…

From your description it looks like an internal crack in the handle area. In addition to buying a new blade, you also have the option of looking for a blade repairman.

If it where my holy grail this would be an option, but it has a few flaws.
While the hybrid structure of the AZXi is cool and all and has great playing properties, it is quite annoying to test Rubbers, since you cant just twiddle your racket and compare directly. Also mine has ~92 g so I cant really play with heavier rubbers. Just a few g below 90 would be nicer.
I think I will rather buy a new Blade and satisfy my inner EJ.

I just dont know which one yet, hopefully mine will stay in tackt for just a few months more.

When repairing, there is often an opportunity to lighten the handles. You can make recesses in them. It is clear that this will change the balance, but it is still an option. When we do repairs, we always offer to reduce the weight or make the handle fuller, if necessary. After repair, the blade will no longer be the same, but it can become both worse and better. It greatly depends on the master.
In general, EJ is sacred :)
