No, the Outerforce ALC has a different composition than the Viscaria. I think it's closest to Freitas ALC.

Its close, but the viscaria has koto top, ayous middle and kiri core. I also imagine that the Viscaria will be stiffer than the outerforce.

interestingly the outerforce alc is a bit thicker than viscaria so I wonder how it would really behave.

Outerforce is considerably softer and slower than Viscaria - it's a nice outer blade.

What? I mean newer blades getting back to the older standard of blade head size. The 158x152, while the viscaria is compact head size of 157x150.

they should remove all other sizes really..... this is the true size.

How much older are we talking? I don't remember in the 90s models being bigger, with Korbel as an exception rather than a rule.
If we're talking 70s I understand, as with speed glue just being introduced, blades were probably still designed for the slower game before that.
In the 90s I actually saw more compact and unconventional shapes, like the JO shape, and bats being made wider than they are long (that flopped).
Viscaria is a 90s blade, and has always been 157x150 afaik

there's exceptions always.
but korbel is older and bigger.
gergely is older and bigger.
since the dominance of viscaria 157x150 became the norm (I like this size).
but there are still some blades with bigger size like the harimoto series, the ovtcharov, etc.

I tend to go with 155x148 (or even smaller - have experimented all the way down to 150x146) for my own blades xD Along with a 107mm handle it tends to shift the weight to the correct place for my preferences.

should be similar to mizutani zlc.
yesterday watched a video with zhang jike where he says zlc is too hard for him.
if it's too hard for him I guess it would be too hard for all of us lol.
