Yes, same here. SYS was scarily impressive against Hashimoto, but everything clicked for SYS from G2 and Hashimoto uncharacteristically made many mistakes.Sad to see Hashimoto lose after a promising start.
From a world ranking point of view, this result is not so bad. Hashimoto will add 45 points (90-45). Assuming SYS will win against Odo, the latter won't add any points. If Hashimoto had won today and lost to Odo tomorrow, Hashimoto would have added 130 points (175-45) whereas Odo would have gained at least 175 (350-175). Of course, my calculations go out of the window if Odo upsets SYS.
I think Hashimoto has a good chance of overtaking Odo on 28 October (that's when Odo's 1,000 points from her win in Montpellier will expire) and becoming the third highest ranked Japanese player.
