I applied some baby oil to expand the rubber evenly but it pooled up at the center after a couple of minutes, even though the rubber had a natural dome. It's hard to see by the pictures, but from that line and to the center the rubber is thicker. Has this ever happened to anyone else? If yes, how did you fix it? Do I just reboost and hope for the best, or do I do just the outskirts?

Thats the area you want to hit the ball with, if its evenly absorbed into the strike zone then I don't see the issue. But its also why you should use thin layers that won't run or drip
I thought I had applied it uniform, but it penetrated really fast on the outside, within 5 minutes, and took the whole night to absorb the rest.

I would use baby oil it's not the most suitable. You should buy a proper booster honestly 👍👍
I just wanted to expand it a bit, not fully boost it. Because I have a harimoto coming in and this these rubbers are from smaller blade.

@Jan_ If you cannot boost a rubber properly then DON'T try to make your own booster! You will set Gerakas, Pallini and/or Spata on fire and the winds are very strong these days!

:p :p :p
Yeah, I'm seriously reconsidering about that😂😂
But seriously, this is the first time it's happened in the dozens of rubbers I've boosted. I didn't even know it could happen.

Rebooted both, and they both seem to be fixed. One got a bigger dose of oil too, so I'm guessing that's for my bh now.

That was super weird though, had never seen such bubbling before.

I don't really like baby oil, if there's even a bit of a curve to the rubber, it bunches up and goes over and to the topsheet. But that's what I have for now. The good thing is that it doesn't give almost any effect, so it doesn't die off, it keeps on for months.
