most of the time, doesn't even bother to reply to the people who took the time to help. Then a day or two later moves on to the next completely unrelated question and repeats the process of not even engaging in the thread he creates.

Andddd look what we have again...

I have Fextra 7(fantastic blade btw) which is the same wood composition as Petr Korbel, but core in Fextra is not a single ply but 3x Ayous.
From my experience Fextra is supposed to be more stiff and offensive. Has any1 played with both and can give me some feedback? I am interested.
Never tried Fextra but its supposed to be a Clipper clone, so its likely not similar to 5 ply blades at all. Clipper is thick and stiff with a soft feeling, whereas Korbel has a harder feeling but is more flexible

It was a long time ago, so it is probably not so true now.

First, I tried and compared Korbel SK7 vs Butterfly SK7 (not classic). At that time, they felt similar although not 100% the same. The difference is in the appearance and the FL handle.

Then long time after that, SK7 Classic is introduced. I did not own it, but when I saw one at a TT store, I tried to bounce ball on it, and it felt stiffer and faster compared to Korbel SK7 that I own. I don't know if it is compared to a new Korbel SK7 (mine is the same Korbel SK7 that I used to compare with SK7 non-classic).

But in theory, they are supposed to be similar.

According to the TTGearLab measurements:

NameAvg. Wt (g)EpEcEc/EpVpVlVl/Vp
Butterfly Korbel SK787.11.551.460.941.171.201.03
Butterfly SK7 Classic90.62.051.860.911.271.301.02

The SK7 Classic is faster and harder, while Korbel SK7 feels softer and has more vibration.
I was also looking to buy SK7 Classic, but it seems almost impossible to find it in the EU.

Thank you! They seem quite different indeed, would love to try both!
