Hello, I would like to try the J&H C55, but I have a question.

In Europe, I can only find the 2.1 mm version for sale, while in Asia, for example on TTJapan, they have the MAX version.

I have seen some reviews online, mostly from Russia, China, or Korea.

All of them have tried the MAX version of the rubber.

In Europe, even on the official Xiom website, only the 2.1 version is listed, while on Xiom Korea, both the 2.1 and the MAX versions are listed.

I would like to understand this difference. If the rubbers are manufactured in Germany, why is the MAX version only sold in the Asian market?

What is the difference between the two?

My guess would be that the MAX one just doesn't sell enough in Europe, 2.1mm is probably enough and sensible for many. Well that would be a very German approach to be fair :D

MAX would be the the thickest sponge possible to result in an overall thickness of 4mm in combination with the topsheet.
So it could be just a 1mm step depending on the topsheet

I don't agree really.
If there is an option of 2.1 and Max most people would by Max

No not in this case. Unless you have super human strength and can utilize the max do not get it. 2.1mm is more than enough and because this is a hybrid I've noticed all the Jekyll rubbers in max suck the ball is way too dead. The only advantage I saw was smashing that's it and even then spin was almost non existent.

usally the thincker the sponge the more power it generates.
So it should generate more powerful shots in max sponge and it is not more difficult to use

That's what I thought but try it for yourself I have zero issues with 2.1mm and I power through a lot of my shots. Both H52.5 and c55 in max were like bricks
