Why hopefully?
To try and make it cost less, probably.. I heard something about end of sept/early october release. price around 10k-13k yen, but we'll see. That's rumor.
I think we may see people boosting this thick hard sponge, when they find they can't play it properly. The problem will be the super thin top sheet and how it will handle bubbling. It's supposed to be harder than d09c and people already boost that
I still think I'm gonna try it tho, but I never bopost b'fly rubbers anyway.p

I also heard it from testers
I think it makes logical sense to go harder in the sponge because you can generate more spin that way when you hit and brush the ball hard.

However D09c has a pretty hard sponge already. I cannot imagine Zyre's sponge to be even harder.

it's possible if the topsheet is soft

That's true. That's what they said making D09c feel softer.

I have a D09c on the backhand side. I would say it definitely feels softer than my H3 BS on the forehand side. But I am not the type of person measuring the exact hardness of the sponge that much. Also there is some manufacturing errors anyway for each sheet that is produced in terms of the exact sponge hardness of each sheet.

We are not pro's. We don't get to pick the exact sponge we want!

By the way: Butterfly nowhere said that they will release it end of August. They said they will provide more info end of August.
Right. To make it clear, Butterfly Japan stated in the original X post (last 1 of the 3 teasers) "「ザイア03」 詳細は8月下旬に公開" ("Zyre-03", details to be publicized in the latter half of August), along with an image of a package Zyre-03 with a caption in the center that reads "8月下旬 情報公開" (Latter half of August, information publicized)

The patent suggests that the sponge will be 36°.

One "leak" points to lightweight being one of its features.

I'm def gonna try it. It'll be wasted on me lol, but I want to know what it's like.

A 47.5 esn hardness rubber being used by top pros in 2025 seems ridiculous, but makes sense when realizing the sponge is 2.7 mm thick. Even the pros can only hit so hard....Durability of that super thin top sheet will be a real question, but if anyone can pull it off it's butterfly. Still, I don't expect dignics level durability.

nah, they just wanted to show us that even when it looks dead, performance is still amazing
Could be the ones he used to win the WTTC MD title. That'd be a powerful self-realization if that's the intention.
