WD F
SYS/WMY (1) 3-2 Harimoto/Odo (2) (-9, 11, 8, -11, 2)
In short, better than Ito/Hayata, but the pair is still not lucky like Kihara/Nagasaki. Gotta work on that luck.

Not a bad clash between the top 2 WD pairs. Miwa has been playing WTT tournaments non stop. I'm glad there's a bit of break between now and Champions Macao. She could really use it to relax both physically and mentally. She'll be fine.

I remember Montpellier differently it seems.

This is easily Truls best chance to win a big final, at home and not facing FZD for once.
Agreed; it'll be really interesting as Truls is similarly loud.

I do think LSD's mental for his age when it comes to crowd is rock-solid probably because he has had plenty of practice; I mean he's cheered against most games in the Super League

Duda happy with his result, but he has been getting harassed on social media for a while now and got again for his loss to Truls. It's upsetting he says. Looking at his achievements in the last twelve to eighteen months, though, he feels proud.

That's just mindboggling to me. I hope he can keep in context that these are toxic "fans". He's one of them most improved players on the WTT tour in the past year or so. Truls has just been a monster this tournament. No shame in today's loss.

Ah, maybe it's just not available at all when on mobile?

Thanks regardless, backspacer
It's available but there's a glitch on the mobile version. It's supposed to be in the 3 dots on the top right, but when you click on it it's fully occupied by ads. That's a formatting issue, the search button should be in there along with the ads. You can get around this problem by turning your phone 90 degrees to put it in landscape view, then the search button will show up.

Who/what/why are they saying?
He didn't specify, although after his 2:3 vs Lind in Yokohama Duda posted some screenshots in his story. To me it looked a lot like frustrated online bettors with no self control, just hurling any abuse. It's an epidemic with sports betting. This has to affect many more players, he's just being vocal about it now.

It is really sad with toxic fans. They are destroying so much for the sport. Back to the players, Truls and Duda know each other pretty well but Truls has added a new dimension to his play and maybe had the upper hand in confidence this time. one can see how much that affects the players. Duda has never been an easy opponent though.

LSD was shaken by Gauzy but Gauzy couldn't keep together the last few sets. Even though LSD changed tactics, important, Gauzy became disadvantaged in confidence at the end. What might speak for Truls tomorrow is if he can keep the confidence and play at this very high level. LSD though has an upper hand being WR number 1. I think though there has been so much enjoyable TT during this tournament and here locally there are becoming more and more youngsters starting to play table tennis.

Yeah, basically what's been happening. People frustrated with his results so they insult him, wish him cancer and write other hateful messages.

Can't believe Simon blew the 9-6 lead in the sixth.

Lin Shidong is the single worst world number one I've seen in my life.
So he's the worst best player in the world you've ever seen. 🤔

I don't imagine, that at this stage of his career, being bottom of anyone's list including Ma Long, Wang Liqin, Ma Lin, Fan Zhendong, Wang Chuqin, Zhang Jike, Wang Hao, Dimitrij Ovtcharov, and Timo Boll is going to give him sleepless nights 😂

In a live stream, ZJK actually praised LSD for doing very well for his age.

He's the youngest-ever WR1. ML was losing left and right at his age under the protection of WLQ, MLin and WH. LSD has practically none.
I love that you brought this up, it is sitting right there in plain sight yet some people refuse to see it.

He's 20.

FZD was a monster at 16.

Harimoto won his fist professional match at age 12.

ZJK was being supportive, as expected. What did Xu Xin say? I remember him saying he wasn't impressed with Felix, lmao.
Fan Zhendong was not world #1 until he was 21. Fan is also arguably the greatest prodigy of all time (between him and Harimoto), so there is no shame in not being Fan Zhendong, but it is pretty ridiculous to expect a 20 year old to be the best/highest ranked player in the world and have no gaps.

I was made to think this behaviour was specific to Tieba netizens. Gee, what gives.

Something in the sauce in the CNT women's team. SXY, KM and CY have really stepped up in this new Olympic cycle. Chen Meng is not really missed.
7 women in the top 15 like their heydays.
Wang Hao has got his work cut out for him though.
