These four, Liang Jingkun, Chen Yuanyu, Wen Ruibo, and Huang Youzheng, are probably the four most likely to achieve maintain a high level to potentially join LSD and WCQ for LA on the mixed team event assuming it’s 3 women and 3 men. Out of these four, or any of the other CNT, who would be the number 3 for CNT?

It would probably be for me either Wen Ruibo or Huang Youzheng. For WRB, he has a lot of power on both wings and is quite a tall dude for CNT. He has a lot of potential to be really good but his mental game and tendency to rush the attack sometimes can be worked on. He is still 18 so plenty of time for him to go to more Smashes and Champions to gain experience. The match against Hugo was one where I thought he looked to be almost breaking out.

HYZ is like a baby WCQ like I’ve always said. His BH is a bit questionable to me but like WCQ his serve and FH 3rd ball and also his rally skill is very very good. That asian cup 2025 really stood out to me, beating Harimoto and taking LYJ to the seventh. Plus, he just completed a doubles with LSD and got silver, so maybe that indicates that LSD and HYZ could potentially play doubles for LA too.

I would be very surprised if LJK is still around
his record is getting worse every year
It will be one of the younger ones for sure
It always seems that way, then he just suddenly turns up at a big tournament and gets a medal and follows with a good run.

yeah, WTTC and WC probably does save him a bit. But these few events (post WTTC) - while he is rested too, isn't great result.

WTTC was probably lucky draw, and beating LSD was the big one.
WC does have decent wins.
2024 had been a terrible year with almost everyone beating him.

I think for LA, its not just his international performance, but it will also be heavily dependent on domestic when the younger ones would likely over take him. And frankly speaking, if no one can over take him, CNT is in some bigger trouble.

I think the mixed team format makes it easier for the Chinese team to secure the victory. Their men's team may be at a low point (even then they may still be stronger than any other team), but their women's team is so dominant so the women can make up for that.
yeah, the mixed team is guaranteed gold for China, and basically Japan is almost certain for silver with some challengers but I think the real fight is for bronze

Sure, but on the women side the CNT's strength is as much their depth as is their top players. Mixed teams eliminate the importance of a depth advantage. You look at the Japanese team for example, if the Harimoto siblings are on, they have an excellent shot of winning. Whereas on either men or women's side relying on say Hayata or Togami to pull off the winning match would be a lot less likely.
