It was live from the break after match 2. I saw some complaints on their instagram, seems like even subscribers didn't have a working stream before that. So while that was down they put filler content on the free channel

Good question, i only know that the next one is Düsseldorf - Bremen on September 5th, but that's from their intial announcement of the channel and it didn't list anything further.

The restriction is for non-Europeans, Hugo has Portuguese citizenship, but Togami and Iizuka can't play in the same match for example

No he did get German citizenship, pass as in passport.

You can be a permanent resident without having German citizenship (no idea how it's in the US). I was like that until I changed a few years ago. Citizenship applies to table tennis rules, though.

I would assume he has dual citizenship now so he can keep playing for the US.

Kanak is subject to the ITTF country change rule, so he would have to stop playing for the US and wait 7 years to be eligible to play for Germany. Ridiculous idea.

He will definively play for US, it was just a wild thought, what if.😁

There are onerous waiting rules for changing association and playing in major events. He would at best be able to do basic WTT events but ITTF events and possibly the Olympics would not work.

Yes it sucks, they probably figured there are so many FZD fans that a bunch of them will drop money on this. I mean there are enough that buy plane tickets to attend a match, so what's another 162 bucks for them to watch the season. For the average viewer though it's such a steep asking prize. Especially for a national league of another country in a fringe sport with commentary you likely don't understand...
