Was it live or was it delayed coverage. I believe an hour was already played and was still not showing the match yet?
It was live from the break after match 2. I saw some complaints on their instagram, seems like even subscribers didn't have a working stream before that. So while that was down they put filler content on the free channel

Is there a way to check which of the TTBL matches this season are streamed for free on Dyn Sport Mix?

Kanak apparently finally got his German pass so he won't have to play under the foreigner rule anymore.
Do they count as a local player if they get Germany Permanent Residency or only Germany Citizenship counts as a local player.

How did it work when Calderano, Gauzy and Togami could play at the same time?

The restriction is for non-Europeans, Hugo has Portuguese citizenship, but Togami and Iizuka can't play in the same match for example

So he is a German permanent resident? That's weird to me, I thought you had to be a citizen of an EU country not to count.

No he did get German citizenship, pass as in passport.

Let me add a tieba tt-news comment from end of last year:
And when you consider that Jha and Li will be able to play together at the same time, as Jha is currently in the process of obtaining German citizenship, which should be completed by the start of the new season, then it no longer seems so illogical to sign a strong “additional player” who has no international commitments.

You can be a permanent resident without having German citizenship (no idea how it's in the US). I was like that until I changed a few years ago. Citizenship applies to table tennis rules, though.

This is interesting development, so Kanak Jha can opt to play for Germany If he wants and if Rossi wants him.

Groth - Qiu 0-3 (-6,-4,-7)

Dang in TTBL often feels like he gets an extra boost, compare this to their recent WTT encounter

Meng - Jha 0-3 (-4,-5,-3)

Off to a good start in Düsseldorf, Li is playing now so Kanak's changed status already comes into play

There are onerous waiting rules for changing association and playing in major events. He would at best be able to do basic WTT events but ITTF events and possibly the Olympics would not work.

Ugh. So disappointing we can't watch on YT this year.

Yes it sucks, they probably figured there are so many FZD fans that a bunch of them will drop money on this. I mean there are enough that buy plane tickets to attend a match, so what's another 162 bucks for them to watch the season. For the average viewer though it's such a steep asking prize. Especially for a national league of another country in a fringe sport with commentary you likely don't understand...
