So you can have an opinion that he was acting with full honesty instead of taking the undeserved gift from the umpire, but you can't have an opinion on what he would have done if the situation was reversed?

I don't know him well enough to predict his behavior in different situations. He is not my brother or best friend I know for years ...

No, he has a good argument.

The first point, Xiang Peng did not believe that the ball traveled cleanly and I can see why he would claim a net after he missed it and it was up to the umpire and the umpire supported him unfortunately for Franziska. But that is why sometimes you cannot leave these things up to human beings but even machines have limitations. Looking at the replay, I am still never sure whether something didn't interfere with the ball trajectory but the umpire sided with Xiang.

The second point was more of an issue, but that was totally on the Umpire. Could Xiang have given the point back? Sure. But is not giving the point back a huge black mark on Xiang? Everyone is allowed to have their own opinion and would be better if he gave the point back? I think so, because the call was not until after the point. And both players played the point in good faith. But pilgrim's position is quite defensible, it is not like there was out and out fraud throughout the match, and Xiang Peng was good for most of it.
Clearly, these are your arguments not his.

Joking aside, he's still very young.

Once he's rid of the baby fat, he'll be a monster.

Kid is built like a chicken. Thankfully, that's easily remedied.

CNT needs a new head coach, though. WH is done. WH has been done for a while now and I think he knows it.

P.S. Lind is so much fun to watch. Fingers crossed he goes all the way.

It's another Anders masterclass in chaos. Must be incredibly difficult to prepare for a match against him.
There was some chaos, but I thought Lind actually played a very clear and simple strategy, particularly on his serve. For a player like Lind who has so much variety, I think sometimes having such a clear focus can help raise his level.

I felt like this match more than other recent losses illustrated the primary weakness in Lin Shidong’s game, which is his tendency to open very safely with his forehand. Lind’s tactics seemed primarily based around heavily exploiting this.
