Longevity of Dignics 05. Close game thoughts too.

So I remember reading in here that D05 lasts a long time. So I used mine (on both sides) with the intention to keep using it for those 8-10 months people say it would last.
First set I basically damaged after 3-4 months. got new set. same thing happened to those. 3 set I got I used for 6 months. I felt something was off at the end but thought it was just in my mind. Dismissed it.
Then I got new set on after 6 months and clearly feel a difference. I trust it better. Crisp reliable and good feeling back again.
Whoever said it last 8-10 months isnt correct if you ask me. Not if you play hard and often. I know I need to change these rubbers maybe every 5 or even 4 months if I want to keep the excact same feeling as on day 1.
Just my 2 cents on this topic of durability.

Another poster mentioned they didnt like it for close game. I didnt either in the beginning. Now I love it. I can easy control short game with it now.
Some will speak against the rubber for short game. I would say its perfectly good for it. you just need to figure out how to use it proper.

Other than the 09C, Butterfly rubbers have average durability. Some are even below average, or brittle. Other brands may last longer, like the Fastarc G-1, a few of Andro’s rubbers, and some others too.

I dare say G1 also changes after a few weeks. That fresh powerful clicky bit wears off rather quickly actually, but what is left is still a very good gripping rubber. The topsheet stays in good shape but it's definitely not out of the box shape after 3-4 months. From the ones I've seen, D05 stays looking better for longer.

All 3 of my G1 sheets are still quite playable and in better shape than Rakza 7 was after a similar amount of time.
C1 is a little different, the topsheet is still fine like G1 but they curl like mad when taken off even after two weeks.

It all depends on hiw much you play and how hard you hit. For a pro it might only last two weeks for a bad hobby player it might last a year. So just saying it last that long without information on how much and at what lvl is a useless Information.

But for me D05 and D09c last longer then any ESN product i have ever used.

Months is a terrible way to measure a rubbers longevity.
Hours of play is the only one that makes sense. And after that, level and type of play come into it because if you're a high level attacker doing regular multi ball then for sure you can blow through a rubber in a quarter the time of me and some of my mates!

My Dignics 80 and 09c are 8 months old. I have been meticulous in looking after them and lucky enough so far not to damage them.
Typically I've played 5-6 hrs a week with them (on average) and they will last me a year+ no issues judging from their condition today.
But if I player 12+ hrs a week I have no doubt they'd have been cooked at 6 months.

I agree. D05 last longer than many ESN rubbers. But the rubber's edge rips easier than the D09C if you clip the table.

True, every butterfly rubber has that issue.
But Dignics is better then Tenergy.

I play 4 to 6 hours a week, 1 hour of that is multiball 1. I change it after a half a season, but there is still life left and I glue it on my second racket. Which I use to feed multiball and train our clubs youth. It lasts another half season easily. After that I gets thrown out because the rubber from my first rackets gets transferred.

My 3x sheets Dignics 09c lasts around 5 months, it is mostly the high arc that fades away as it becomes less tacky.
Speed is the same It is.boosted once w/ ftl.
D05 lasts longer in my experience.
