That makes sense. I don't know Bobrow well enough to analyze and trend that, but that makes sense.
Do you reckon it has something to do will Truls being unable to compete in the European Championships due to injury. Maybe since he has come back from injury he is more fired up than usual.

People have posted about Truls' disputes with the Swedish Association. And I think it's crazy that he promotes his brother as the coach without real qualification.
And it's very likely that the Swedish head coach has left the team during the peak of Truls' disputes. Plus the involvement of his dad into this whole situation makes it looks sketchy.

I don't necessarily blame him, but today's behavior was disrespectful towards the guy who is supposed to be his pal, not foe.
I don’t have a problem with him wanting his brother to coach him instead if he is more comfortable with his brother and believes he can get his best performance out of him

The only unknown question is If Persson didn’t leave the head coach role would he still want his brother to coach him.

No doubt he went over the line today. I don’t think it has anything to do with Truls beef with the association but something definitely must have happened between him and Anton. They played before and he was not like this compared to today. Rude behaviour from him.

Taking it out on a teammate would only make sense if there was some chatter about it in a way he didn't like.

"C’était dur de rester invaincu": la déception de Félix Lebrun, battu pour la première fois par Gauzy à Montpellier ("It was tough to stay undefeated": Félix Lebrun's disappointment, beaten for the first time by Gauzy in Montpellier)
https://rmcsport.bfmtv.com/tennis-d...-par-gauzy-a-montpellier_AV-202510300953.html

The performance is all the more impressive given that the 31-year-old Frenchman had never beaten the Montpellier native in five previous encounters on the circuit (seven in total). That has now changed, just over a week after they were crowned European team champions together in Croatia. "We're going to play against Simon a million times, so it was tough to stay undefeated," admitted Félix Lebrun , interviewed immediately after the match on RMC Sport's Twitch and YouTube channels . "Well done to him. Losing to a Frenchman is better than losing to a foreigner, even though I admit I'm very disappointed."

"It's not catastrophic."

Disappointed but also clear-headed, the Montpellier player acknowledged that Simon Gauzy was having a great night: "He played a great match," Lebrun continued. "He played better and better as the match went on. Simon is an exceptional player in the rallies. I needed to be aggressive on the first few balls to dominate and force him back a bit. That was the case at the beginning, but as the match progressed, I couldn't trouble him anymore."

Having missed out on a quarter-final berth, Félix Lebrun will now have to focus on the WTT Champions in Frankfurt (November 4-9). "Bounce back? I don't know if that's the right word. It's not a disaster. But the level of play is very even. There are a lot of surprises. My goal will be to have a great tournament in Frankfurt. A big end to the season is coming up." He concluded: "I can't wait to get going again."

No, there has been talks about a division in the swedish team between Truls and the others for some time, before I started to follow it around last olympics. And we also have a rift between Truls and the swedish table tennis Association.

With that said, it is probably easier to become enemies within your team since you are very close. My own experience, I played my team ”mate” in practice and I focused on just putting the balls on the table. I had a very hard time controlling his spinny shots. Before the session I asked if he wanted to focus on something special but no. In the middle of the session he quits playing and ask me to decide how to play and to play properly, he said that my game was”all over the place” and no good for him.

It looks as though, and starts to become a pattern, that for Truls the only thing that matters is Truls.

When you mean by last olympics do you mean before or after the Paris Olympics? It was around China Smash 2024 a couple of months after the Olympics where it was Persson last time coaching the Sweden Mens Team and after that when Truls had issue with STTA and wanted his brother to coach him.

I don’t know anything about before the Paris Olympics if there was a rift between Truls and other team members but definitely after Persson left there was issues with Truls, team members and the association.

Weighing in on the Truls situation I feel like his emotion towards Anton could not just be from dramas with Sweden's ttf. Truls wears his heart on his sleeve so for him to be so loud, some of you saying disrespectful, makes me think there has to be a nasty recent history between the two, and if there is I think Truls should be loud and should be shocking. However, it is really just dramas with his Federation I think he is not being a great sportsman. But I'm inclined right now to believe the former over the latter.

According to one international coach, Truls has been receiving a good buck from Stiga sponsorship (cybershapes are selling well), commercials, and from achieving decent results on the WTT circuit.
This and maybe some EGO resulted in him not needing to play in a competitive league (which is the main income for most players) and acting tough against his own Federation by involving his brother and dad to dramas.
I only took it as rumors from haters until yesterday, but it looks the tension is real :)

He is still playing Swedish league, no? Plus Champions League for Saarbrücken. Don't know if he is still playing Polish Super League.

Lee Sang Su vs Kanak Jha, 2nd set

Lee Sang Su gets a yellow card for wasting time. There is no way that he was "wasting time". Jha was wiping the table, preparing to get into receive position. LSS was waiting for his opponent. Then he gets called out for "wasting time".

Even before the coin toss, you can feel the umpire being under immense time pressure. she kept calling the players names to hurry up and finish cointoss+warmup. I guess it has to do with WTT scheduling but its not good for the players. the way that yellow cards for time wasting are handed out in its current state is completely arbitrary. I'd assume they hand out yellow cards depending on broadcasting timeslots (harsher when behind on schedule)

Also, sorry to say but it would help if the umpires were more proficient at the English language

Simply put, WTT needs to raise the overall level of its refs.
WTT has first world pro players with third world refs. Players and fans deserve better.
