Damn those tickets are so cheap, even a broke college student like me could pay for these.
It gets expensive when you want to sit close to the box. My Frankfurt ticket for Saturday cost 80€ and 72€ after a discount. Wednesday I sit just as close, but it cost only 30€ (27€) for 13 matches. The weekend is such a rip-off.

He is young. Such things can still be developed with the right experiences
Yup. I remember Truls choking really bad a few times. Dropping 3-1 against Jorgic in Montreaux in 2022 was one of the worst chokes I've ever seen, tbh. He seems to have toughened up considerably since then.

I think the 2023 ETTTC may have been the turning point, with the Paris Olympics being something of a coming-of-age event.

I was in Houston 2021 live when he won two close matches, one against Franziska when Franziska mounted a comeback, and one against Lim Junghoon, when Lim Junghoon completely outplayed him yo go up 3-0 and them Moregardh started playing loose using a variety of flat shots and insane blocks to get into LJH's head and reverse the match, and this was well before 2022. I dont get why people accuse players of having weak mindsets on the basis of single match struggles against equal or better opposition. The opponent is allowed to play better and hit the ball too, it isn't all about winning or losing leads.

Never said anything about Truls' mindset. He was just oscillating, having ups and downs, which isn't untypical for a youngster.

With Harimoto, though, there is an obvious pattern. I believe there are self-esteem issues there.

Even with Harimotoz there are playing style and technical issues that need work. These are more important factors in his struggle than the usual stories about mental strength.

Oh man, was actually rooting for Winter here. Seems like she rushed it a little and her coach didn't have many solutions towards the end either, but good run! Can anyone mimic her in CNT lol - closest I can think of is Feng Yalan but she's obviously very much retired.

To give credit where it's worth, WYD did overcome some of her weaknesses recently - Hashimoto (chopper), Winter (pips) - so she deserves it as much.

I will never understand taking the timeout after the opponent scored 3-4 in a row and already passed you on the scoreboard
Yea I also thought of this as well should have use the timeout 1 pt before tiebreaker. Next event will have no players from China due to the National Games but I think Sabine won’t get another chance like this to win a WTT Champions Event.

You think she will struggle with the Japanese and won't have as good a draw on Frankfurt?

Underlying psychological issues need to be addressed. It's a mental health matter and shouldn't ever be overlooked.
We can agree to disagree. Psychological issue explanations have limitations relative to underlying technical issues. I know what I mean when I say his style of play is too cerebral and he needs to focus more on taking initiative than restricting opponents and playing probabilities.
