I'm probably around 1700-1800 *in my area* because in California I would not be close to that rating since the level of play there is much higher.

But what I notice when I play against people around the 2000 level is that they will, most likely, block my first attack, then I'll be out of position or something for the follow up.

Their FH comes at you much lower, spinnier, and with better placement.
If someone at my level tries to attack my heavy underspin serve, it will probably go to the net. A 2000 level player will rip right through that spin.

There's other stuff like receiving but the above is what sticks out to me the most.
You won't get to 2000 unless you play against those players and experience the shot quality etc.

This is why when I explain to kids, at say 13, I would say, the game is easy. You will win easy points and if you are playing incorrectly, but winning the rally, you should not be celebrating the win, but rather reflect on the wrong and correct the technique.

and the same kind of rally occurs at 15 will yield different result, and then against at 17, it will be different, and then at 19 it will be different.

what works before, will change over time.
This is not just with age progress, but with level, and physical/mental attribute that is tied with age growth and level/training growth.

This is an incline, and the moment you get to 15, the incline becomes very steep.
same with 17 and 19 is near impossible to grow much further as it become very steep and only few can continue to grow.

the golden years is 13~16 and if you get stuck lowly there, 17~19 is too late and the career path of semi pro in the elite stage is impossible - unless you move to tier 3~5 table tennis countries where the levels are very low.

so what you say about 2000 attribute is just exactly that - they just have more ways to handle your ball more than the 1700 player, and the moment you get a 2500 opponent, the quality and consistency will up many founds. a 2100 will say the same thing as what you are saying.

and how I like to put it, here is Kayama Yu against a very good 2600 player

and another video
Aruna probably playing only at 40% ~ 50% with a USATT 2600 player playing at 80+%

the moment Aruna ups it by 10%, the rally would be over quicker, and if he up it to say 65%, I would say the 2600 player will have very little chance.

here you can see a little bit more effort in the final two top spin by Aruna, and Liu's timing is then late.
Aruna wasn't even trying.

You don't hide the ball to decide who serves before starting matches? Or start recording your video?
no its we were in a match and we werent recording and i hit a backhand around the net before that video. so then we started recording and paused the match to try to do it again and i got it first try. then we continued the match

Yeah but that was in a match and I got it first try. That’s why I posted it
At this point, there seems to be an honesty problem.

Stories of your coach beating players he hadn't beaten at the time you claimed he had.

Stories of multiple of your coaches playing in leagues they haven't.

Stories of your coach being 2700 at his peak despite never being over 2450 USATT with an extensive 20+ year USATT tournament record.

Stories of you hitting trick shots in matches and then when someone points out it is obviously staged you backtracking and admitting the video itself was staged.

Stories 4 months ago of you consistently beating 2000-2100 players and 4 months later no evidence to back that up and a lot of evidence to suggest that was exaggerated at best.

There are many balls all over the floor of the court and someone walking around your court picking up these balls with a net. That doesn't happen when a match is in progress.

This was practice. Why are you doing this?

i dont make enough money to fund all of my table tennis training. im a kid
I know you are a kid, with a lot of question marks against the facts you have listed that has been evidence has untrue

Yeah, I’m going to Portugal next summer to train for 3 months. It’s my first year so I haven’t played the big tournaments like nationals, but I will be playing all of them next year. My coach is a national champion for the Trinidad, but he is much different from other national champions, he is like the absolute best coach I can’t even count how many people he has gotten from 1800 to 2000 in less than two months. He says I am on track to get near 2100 by the end of this year
so if you are already 2000 4 months ago, and you are near 2100 by the end of this year, why are you posting how to get to 2000 from 1800??
your maths aint mathing!!!

A lot of people believe that to get to the top you must have a lot of money. And you have to have more training than everyone else. But that’s not true. The only things you need is passion, discipline, dedication, determination, drive, and support. You need to be able to keep going even when people push back at you and when it gets the hardest. Winners never quit, and quitters never win. If you reach the top of the mountain, find a bigger one
Yeah I prob got the tournament money covered . I do a lot of side hustles, and most of all I do drop shipping which I make a LOT of money of of and I have a good car detaili Business with my table tennis training partner. So I will probably be set for that because that’s not for a little while

this is why I use the harsh words that you are clueless.
you only want to hear the easy things - like praises and how good you are, blah blah blah, you don't want to hear the difficult facts and the mission impossible part. and while you keep denying every important suggestions everyone is telling you, a new label you are getting is naiveness.

and as clearly pointed by @ThePongCommenter , probably even close to delusional or lying.

I have never seen a third person roaming around the court picking up balls off the floor while a match is in progress. But sure.

you can think what you want. but i know the truth. also this is a stupid argument. we are going back and forth about wheather or not i hit a backhand around the net in practice or in a match. i am supprised that you have not yet stepped up and said that yourself. now me. a 12 year old kid, has to explain to an adult that we are arguing about the wrong thing.

Well you conveniently ignore everything else, and in just a few posts on this forum have posted numerous things that have proven to be false, so why are you surprised when people don't believe what you say?
