Butterfly Zyre 03 longevity?

I guess it might be too early to ask this question I guess. But how is the longevity of Zyre 03 compared to Dignics 05?

I usually can get my 05 to last around 6 months. maybe 8. depending on how much I play. Which is longer than most other rubbers I used. Only one beating that would be the Fastarc G1 but I am not into that rubber anymore.

I see butterfly has increased their dignics prices instead of dropping them recently. I guess so people who use their dignics will consider switching to Zyre 03 instead as the price gap is less now.

Well its working. Im considering haha. But only if Zyre last at least as long or longer than 05.
The rubber came out in oct I think. So its too early to say how long it lasts I guess.

Too early to say for sure, but so far it looks like "at least as long or longer than 05" is a good bet. I'd put my money on longer.

I'm averaging 4 hours per week since 12/11/25
It's probably lost a little spin but still can perfectly play the same shots as before and playing very well. Still quick as all feck

I'm using it for RPB only - it's a hard to tame monster, when I'm playing with no pressure I can pull pro-like shots, but the error margin turn very high when there's pressure (dealing with players with uncomfortable serves/blocking). It forces you to go all out in almost every shot (much more than D09c).

Have you experienced the ball slipping off the topsheet? I used it for a few weeks for RPB (had short pips on the FH at the time) and there would be times where I'd put more power into my stroke and it would just go into the net and I didn't change my blade angle at all. I've seen some people had similar experiences, but overall the rubber was pretty good when I used it, but $120 USD isn't worth it tbh

Zyre is awesome super spinny and grippy and very fast. My biggest issue is that I am not very good at footwork and imo while it helps amazingly in the open up game I get very lazy in extended rallies as it gives me too much power.

But honestly it's probably the spinniest rubber I used along with Chinese rubbers it's super fast but also stable it's not very spin sensitive.

It's great for player who use brush looping but very unstable for players who hit loop more. If you hit loop get 05

yes, its throw angle is already low, then if you don't put in enough effort to engage the sponge it will surely hit the net often.

they share some similarities: hard, dense sponge, low throw angle so I made a switch quite easy. But the Zyre is more difficult in the blocking game and easy to go over the table. I think I will come back to H3/H8 for BH after this.

Three months old playing exclusively. Three session per week, each session btw two to two and half hours.
So far, no wear and tear seen. Zyre ricosheet tech is holding up its part of the bargain.
