Just wanted some external feedback on technique and playing. Right now i think i need to work on:
- Service recieve
- Better balance when playing shots
- Don't get into too bad positions
- Don't cover too much of the table when backhand
I feel like i let my opponents attack too much, but I'm having a hard time finding the space for a forehand. I suspect it might be because of my leg position when playing.

For reference the players in this video are around 2100-2200TTR Denmark. Around top 300-200. And my level is 1600TTR.

Here is the video of me playing. Any feedback is fine. (Im in black with black hair) :p
Try to do a little less with the upper arm and more with the lower body to powrr the stroke. You are not getting maximum acceleration and quality because you engage large swings with the upper arm right than tighter and faster use from the elbow and forward powered by the body.

Your consistency and ball feeling is good, how long havs you been playing for?

Well, I haven't seen the entirety of the video (I'm in class and my laptop would be cooked if I get caught lol), but I can see that you have great serves and your serve receive, albeit high, is nice and counters the spin from the opponent's serve very well. This is very commendable.

Now onto the forehand. I don't see much of a problem with it, looks powerful with good forward motion. It isn't so consistent, maybe because it's a little flat rather than brush, but I think other than that it's pretty good.

For footwork, you can go in and out of the table pretty well and you're pretty quick and coordinated with it. This amount of footwork, with two winged attacks, is more than enough for your level. Commendable.

Like I said, your footwork is good enough with good two winged attacks, but your backhand looks a little lacking. When it's far from the table it looks very good, consistent, and powerful, but when it's close to the table it looks as if you're just letting your opponent attack the ball. You really need to work on this part to raise your level.

Of what you say you need to work on, you need to focus on

the most. You can attack well with the forehand, you just need the confidence for it.

Of course, I'm just a guy on the internet, and in fact I'm at a lower level than you. So take this with a grain of salt, and keep pinging, ponger!

Thank you for this. Despite mostly being nice things haha, confidence in forehand i will write down.

You are in a very good place for 2.5 years. Try to find a strong technical coach/mentor early rven if it is paying for video analysis or going to a local camp. You may have one already but I have found that good mentorship reaps immense rewards in table tennis.

Hmm, my budget is already tight. My trainer doesn't really do anything besides group training. Which is the reason i turned to the internet :p. Might have started to late to go international at a high level, but i want to at least play well, since it's very fun to play. I think i'm going to invest in a camera stand so i can record more matches. This was recorded by the opponents. And im probably just going to do self analysis

I started much older than you. The Ghanian guy in this video started much older than you as well - he is 6 years older than his opponent though it isn't obvious. Ultimately in this sport, you go as far as your resources take you.

Good, it's down time so you might not get a response quickly but I will post something at some point. It is also better to post some technical practice video because in matches, everyone's technique is challenged. Easier to see what you can improve when you are using your base technique or focused on improving something specific.

Alright, didn't know that. Focusing on improving at the moment. All the silly stuff can wait
Oh, it is banned in the rules for sure, it is a pet topic of his which is out of character with his other posts that it isn't banned.

This is very unfortunate. People are really like this, and it can't be helped... if you wanna improve like this, you have to play A LOT to counter the lack of personal training.
