Do you mean the defensive or offensive or special or ZC version? The offensive version looks a lot like a YEO with a bigger head, I'm curious to try it but worried it might be too hard to control with chopping.

Just the regular version, the Offensive, Defensive, Special and ZC versions are all different than the vanilla VKM

I've also never used a VKM Offensive but I've heard good things about it for attacking. Last year at the US Open I lost pretty badly to this guy who used Palio CK531A on one to play a blocking style. Heres another one of his videos from that tournament:

Woah man, that's a lot of versions! I think you need to think simpler; focus on the one that you think will get you having fun the best.

Just keep crossing out options (even if the only difference is the handle design or wood colour). Eventually, you'll end up with an option that you'd like.

What blade and rubbers do you use? No video of you playing him? 😃

At the time I was using ZJKALC, H3 and D64. And it would not be worth anyones time watching a video of me playing this guy 🤣😭, I am much much less skilled than the videos of opponents that the pips blocker took from that tournament

Hi there - I am looking for a new set of long pips. I have played with Hellfire X OX for a little year and since I switched to long pips it was a good fit for how I like to play. Now I am looking to expand my way of playing, I want to be able to also actively hit the ball and put pressure on my opponent. I can do that a little with Hellfire X OX but I find it very hard to do in real matches. Don't get me wrong, I win lots of matches, I am just trying to expand what I can do :)

Because of this I have been thinking about adding a little sponge (around 0,5 mm).
Should I choose Hellfire X? Go with Dawei 388D-1? Or try my luck with Grass D.TecS? (all with a little sponge like 0,5 mm).

I like not to stand to close to the table and I am forcing my view in how I play to be to disrupt with my backhand (long pips) and wait for my change to win points with counter attack with my forehand (and I want to be able to also do that with my long pips).

I started my journey with chopping (just for fun, although I am getting better at it) with the following :
Loki Kirin K2 (5 ply all-wood) for about ~8 USD on Aliexpress
Yinhe Neptune 0.7 mm LP ~about 9 USD on Aliexpress
Yinhe Mercury 2 Mid-Hard ~ about 7 USD on Aliexpress
Pretty controllable, good and really cheap setup to learn basics with :)
I got her the Neptune 0.7 as per your suggestion and other reviews and it's very decent! I tried it and is pretty good. She needs practice now, but I think she will become dangerous :) Thanks!

388 D-1 with 0.5mm sponge is valuable option, has good grip for LP and some reversal. But I was unable to achieve consistency with it. Currently, I am playing with Ilius B 1.3mm and find it better in attack and overall feel. Also, has some reversal, but not much. It is an interesting rubber - hard and slow sponge and hard grippy pips.
