Im fairly new to boosting and I've been seeing some interesting pictures of boosted rubbers from the chinese app Rednote. There seems to be a big trend in using the black oil over there, and I've been wondering about what the main differences between the yellow and black oil are. At them moment i am boosting with Haifu Nat Yellow bought from prott.vip. Though i can't seem to get the same granulated texture in the topsheet as i've seen others have. I've already read that black oil "doesnt soften the spnoge", but i can't really make sense of that, since the oil definently should have some impact on the sponge texture.
I will provide some pictures below :)

Any experts have any wise words?

The black oil is my booster of choice and it does soften the sponge, just not to the extend of yellow or white oil. I can get my rubbers to look exactly like the provided pictures, but against doing so unless you are preparing your paddle for a tournament. Generally, having that visibility of dimples requires at least 3 layers of booster and it will stretch the glue between the top sheet and the sponge to the max. Your rubber will not last long with that tension. I've destroyed a completely new sheet of mine just after one tournament and wouldn't do it again anytime soon.

I'm probably going to buy it and experiment a bit just for fun :p
I will probably do the same ritual before tournaments unless i really like it. I usually need a bit of break in on the H3 rubber before im comfortable.
