SYS (1) 4-2 Hayata (10) (6, 8, -9, -5, 2, 8)
Way too many service errors with the Yinhe ball, besides all the uncharacteristic misses. 2 for SYS and 1 for Hayata, 2 of which were back-to-back and split between them in G4. Not to mention the nets and edges.
G6 51, 53, 73, 74 TO for SYS, 94, 95 net for Hayata, 96, 106 net for SYS, 108, 118

No repeat of ATTC 2024 where Harimoto and Hirano got it done with the seamless ball. Tsk, just what else does Hayata need to equal Hirano's double and Ito's single triple-kills.

Translation:
  1. Little bro, you have stubby arms and legs, why do you stand so far away from the table.
  2. You cannot outloop those Europeans
  3. Even elder bro dare not even stand so far away…

At this rate he won’t even be 2nd singles spot for CNT. It’s too risky for CNT to select him at the Olympics singles cause lets say LSD makes it to the semi’s theres a good chance Felix might be there. They need to bring FZD back, at the moment I still don’t have complete trust in WCQ that he can medal in Singles at the Olympics.
Nowadays it is not easy to choose for any spot for Olympics. Regarding the fact that for mixed double, an NOC can have up to 2 pairs. To ensure a gold medal, they might give a chance to LSD-KM. They can call both FZD and LSD, but FZD will mostly play only men's singles and mixed team events, and men's doubles might not be secured because FZD might not have enough time and stamina to prepare for men's doubles with WCQ, so the best option if both FZD and LSD play in Olympics, then FZD will play only men's singles and mixed team, while LSD will play Mixed, Men's doubles. In this case, Liang Jingkun is even a better choice, as the duties will be shared evenly to everyone.

Valiant effort from Hina, but SYS is #1 for a reason. Still, winning 3 deciders including 2 over tough CNT opponents in HZJ and KM and playing SYS pretty well for a good chunk of the match should build confidence. Add to that winning the WD with Miwa, which includes a win over KM/CY, in their WTT debut. Very nice progress.

Truls' inability to pivot his game once his opponent is fully adjusted is a bit baffling to me.

Phenomenal mental game, though.

Chen Yuanyu is fantastic, looking forward to seeing what he can do in the future.

EDIT "I thought I was playing good table tennis, but you saw the scoreline"...

Yeah... The fact that neither you nor your bro noticed that your "good table tennis" that won you those first three games wasn't working any more was the problem... At the time. Outstanding mental reset in the seventh.

There is always something moving about winning when family is in the crowd ~

All these "call FZD" chants are funny to me. It's quite obvious that the national team is in the past for him, and he just wants to play profitable enjoyable TT without the burden of the CNT on his neck. I say the CNT give him the cold shoulder and focus on getting LSD or even LJK/ZQH (in the rare instance )ready for Olympic singles. They have roughly 2 and a half years to do that. There's still time. And it looks like that's the team's plan anyway.
