Also you shouldn’t trust what I say.
Did another “stupid” thing. I missed this feeling, the HSALC is my all time favourite blade despite playing much better with the HAL.
Also, it’s amazing how low of a throw the HAL has. It’s deadly but at the same time is hard to manage sometimes. Just noticed going back and trying other blades again. I guess no blade is perfect.
I play with D09c and O7CG and both have quite a high throw, and I find it perfect. maybe with HALC it would be too much … will see, I am in no rush. but I do enjoy playing with HAL, has that clean Arylate feeling.

It's an amazing blade also, but like i said before. Coming from HAL and having experiences the HSALC i find the HALC too trampoliny (if that's even a word).

Regarding throw, you are right, i might try and find a higher throw rubber but for now im doing fine with the D05. I wished it would be a little bit softer.

I have a NUZN 55 and J1 on my backup HSALC that I think I'll move to the HAL soon. The 09c's I have on there are long dead at this point. I think the NUZN will be good with bounce/speed/throw. I think the J1 may have a little too low of throw to combine with this blade but we will see. I might just keep my C55 rubber in the package and make a XIOM Hugo shrine.

Those two rubbers on the HSALC are too heavy with oversized head but I think the extra speed will be nice on HAL.

I would love to adapt to the 09c, but i can't stand that high throw.

Oversized head so heavy rubbers are more noticeable
I've played with the HALC and really like HAL. Different rubber on one side and the HALC stint was a couple of years ago (didn't master the flex and blocked into net I told myself... :)) but if my memory serves me right the HAL is slightly more head heavy. Or maybe I should say MY HAL is slightly more head heavy than THAT HALC.

My HAL is also a little bit head-heavy. I was exchanging between the HAL and the HALC and didnt feel a huge difference so yeah.

I don't think this review did the blade any justice. The blade is everything but a canon like they made it to be. With the right rubbers you will have a slow blade also.
i agree. it is an interesting video so i wanted to put it here but you're right... i think maybe the jekyll and hyde rubbers (C57.5/C52.5) did a lot of work in terms of their feeling of the setup compared to the blade itself.

i like a lot of their equipment reviews (the grass d.tecs video is interesting) but there are a few funny things here and there (for example, it felt like they decided they hated D09C before really using it in the hybrid video... seemed topical)

and in terms of HAL, im gonna move the J1/Nuzn 55 over to it to replace the worn out 09c rubbers i have, since i think the bounciness/speed of those will be nice with the HAL (or at least feel better than on my backup HSALC)

Butterfly rubbers tend to ba hated by them, maybe because they can't sell them to everyone. I like their videos as well, as I usually buy from them but some of his opinions are really biased.

Hugo HAL is a picky blade regarding rubbers, at least for my taste. I found out that sticky rubbers increase dwell too much to the point that the ball seems glued to the blade, and also found out that rubbers too soft remove feeling from the blade since the blade already feels soft.

From my experience, the HAL benefits, from a rubber at least 48º ESN and not sticky. To me the sweet spot is 50º but I understand that people with more skills than me can handle a different hardness. I've recently downgraded from D05 to Glazer and the Glayzer is the bottom line I would go in therms of hardness. Even Fastarc G1 felt too soft.

Yeah. I believe that most forum opinons differ from this video. The HAL is mostely regarded as a slower, more controled alternative to Viscaria like blades.
I think the feel is different, it is a lot softer and perhaps more of a tone downed 7-ply. But distinctively fast it is not.

I have my new HAL blade now, and i really like it. I want to learn, about strength of hyper axylium fiber, since this blade does not have carbon in it, so is there a chance to break this fiber with smashes? How does this fiber holds its characteristics with time? Does it stretch within time, and bounce effect will degrade in few monthes ? Is there any timing of its shelf life?

I am not agree. I know I am minority but I totqly didn't like HAL. For me its faster then Viscaria, less control, not condortable handle. Really don't understand hype about this blade

I completely understand that this blade is really particular. It has a really soft feeling while being a fast blade when you input is fast/hard. That's whats amazing about it. It's really linear and has a lot of gears.
If im being honest i prefer the feeling of ALC or SALC but nothing gives me the safety on low gears and the explosiveness of hard hits like this blade.
Tha being said i dont think it is as fast/explosie as Viscaria. Even the Revoldia was faster albeit i think the Revoldia was almost as fast as Viscaria.

Whats the weight of the blade you tested and what rubbers did you use?
