I think Felix used more energy to beat Sora after 1:3 down
Including being 1:3 down vs Hugo in the quarters the night before as well!

I actually thought Sora would be the worse possible opponent for Felix. Similar to WCQ forehand typically overpowering Felix backhand while Felix being unable to do the same while on this forehand.

While the tournament has many themes, for me the tournament will also be known as the one where no one backed it up. Kuai Man couldn't back up her win over Sun, Satsuki Odo couldn't back up her win over Wang Manyu, and Sora couldn't back up his win over Wang Chuqin. Too much competition out there.

Watching Felix win this tournament gives me the same feeling that I had watching Harimoto win the finals in December. So much parity... Wang is still above the rest as is Sun but they have their days when gravity pulls on theirngame....

I agree. Both of them probably have a 70% chance of winning any event that they are participating in. The rest of the field are pretty much even and much depend on their form on that week and even day.

I asked you to clarify, not to share a link to a page unintelligible to most people here. AI isn't of any help either right now.

Anyhow, a disappointing final. WRB seems to have used up all the fuel against 張本 智和.
Time to learn Chinese.

Felix may have been more drained physically, but that game six drama (21:19) may have drained WRB mentally a bit more severely. That specific "mission accomplished" feeling you get after scoring such a win didn't have enough time to wear off. If the final had been played tomorrow, I bet it would have been much tighter.

Time to learn Chinese.
Oh, I agree wholeheartedly.

I don't have the time to commit to learning a language right now, sadly. I should have taken up Mandarin 20 years ago, tbh.

I don't have time to babysit everyone that asks me to clarify.
I asked you nicely. Show some kindness, maybe?

Basically it seems like WRB has (had?) a habit of being a blabbermouth, hence the nickname.

Examples of some alleged public incidents as follows:
1) He shared and commented on a picture of Liu Weishan, saying she's ugly.
2) He commented that Lin Gaoyuan is/was lacking in skill/not as good as expected/a bit of a pushover (not sure about an accurate translation for 水)
3) He revealed that he was born in 2003, not 2007 (IMO this could hold some weight as he does look quite mature for a 19y/o )

The age thing if thru is really pathetic, I thought China had resolved all that.

Felix's penhold style is fun to watch.

Felix's less powerful than Harimoto, speed wise also inferior.

I was a shocked Wen lost 1-4, was expecting a closer score.

I rewatched the match, realised Felix's not hitting the same spot, his rapid change in placement got Wen quite uncomfortable.

I can't believe in 2026 someone from France plays penhold like Ma Lin the Magician.
