The earlier version of w968 would be softer and more flexible than the newer w968 gold slam versions. I reckon most newer blades would be similar to the newer version for a better power on the backhand. Keen to see a review and comparison of both versions with Xiom Chrome.

I received my Xiom Chrome XAXi Blade.

FL, 89g, 1313 hz (exactly the same as my w968!!!, could it be that someone at Xiom actually did their homework and really designed a true w968 clone).
Here is a close up comparison of Chrome's plies (middle) vs HL5 (top) and W968 (bottom):
Got a couple of tournaments coming up, and then I will test this new toy

I have the gold slam version and i do not like the handle (too small!!!) where I'm considering getting the Chrome. Can you compare the handles please. Tq

"DHS Official W968" purchased from prott in November 2022.
The handles are very similar in shape and size. Same length. At the widest end they seem to be the same. At the narrowest point, towards the blade face, both HL5 and w968 are 8.4mm, Chrome is 8.6mm, but I only noticed after measuring around the handle's circumference with a tape.

Are you able to measure handle width with calipers and share?
It looks quite slim in the concave where handle meets wings.
Curious as to whether the handle is same or similar dimensions to my Hugo TMXi

My frequency is also ~1300hz. So good consistency there. AJH TMXi Pro had more variance i believe.
On the negative side, the finishing quality is not as superb as AJH TMXi Pro. Especially the handle. It is rougher and I had a wood fibre sticking out. The blade surface is also a bit rougher. I will certainly varnish->sand->varnish this blade.

Any new reviews of the Xiom Chrome blade? It looks to be popular that's currently sold out FL version on TT11.

I honestly expected a little more reviews too.
So far what I could gather is that the overall feeling is quite good and similar to w968.
It is a little slimmer so it might flex more and is easier to hit through, better for less advanced players.

To me the blade feels so unique that it's hard to describe and I wanted to wait and see if others feel the same.
It almost doesn't feel like a carbon blade. The speed on touch and slow shots is super slow. I have better feeling than even my all-wood blades. I can feel the carbon kick in on hard topspins, but it doesn't produce as much kick as TMXi Pro. Top end speed is slower. Sweet spot seems to be smaller aswell.
Personally I love the blade, but I'm not sure it's a real successor of the TMXi Pro.
