Strength is a bigger factor than being light.
I have a pretty strong core and quads like a horse, for what its worh, lol. :ROFLMAO:

Strength doesnt necessarily mean bulk but it is more important to be strong than to be light for any athletic endeavor. Optimizing for the right balance between Strength and speed (and they are not unrelated) is key.
I do know a few guys who move surprisingly well despite being downright obese. However, all of them are naturally talented and madly skilled.

It's really Fan Zhendong's fault. If he was still around, Lin would be the #3 he was supposed to be at this point in his career.

Liang and Lin can still turn it around. I think people are underestimating what is possible. It is just nos as easy as it used to be.
There's a video that explains all of it:

It's in Chinese but essentially he was stripped of training resources when his WR fell due to injuries. Paired with the constant harassment from his own fans and the WCQ army, who wouldn't want to step away? Don't forget that without him, China probably wouldn't have secured gold in the Olympics. He did what he needed to do and left on top.

As much as I want to hate on LSD, he's obviously changing his style of play and he's in a transition period. Was it wise to put him in the tournament with his condition? Probably not.
