I want to vent a bit about countries that have one player too far ahead of everyone else. Worse than Harimoto has ever really had it. Kiril is also not longer on the list as he now has a legit #2. Hopefully Hugo will leave the list as well soke day. China wants to join the loat but we shall be patient lol.

Brazil - Hugo and Bruna
Puerto Rico - Diaz
USA - Kanak
Wales - Hursey
Nigeria - Aruna

Any others?
China - Big Head

(Nicknamed "Big Head", this match went smoothly, it was his teammates that had their heads big [in hot water]. Second match, Lin Shidong...
China lost to South Korea in the last round, the first defeat in this event in 26 years, losing to exactly Sweden, but Wang Chuqin refused to let the opponet twist the knife, stepping in the arena again to face Ranefur, there were Kong Linghui, Wang Liqin, Ma Lin and other big names, but for this match only Wang Chuqin can put up a fight, winning in a row 12-10, 11-6 and 11-4
But Lin Shidong, whose head changed from medium size to large size, was knocked down by Anton Kallberg in the fifth match, the score was 1-3, and China lost 2-3, losing again to Sweden 26 years later, two consecutive losses after one win, advancing in third place to main draw against Australia ...)

Austria - Sofia

(China - WCQ 😬)
I know China wants to join the list, but let's see how this event turns out...

Article says security at the venue.
I can imagine it must have been shocking, but if it’s “only” groping, I would have imagined that she recovered already emotionally and would like to play to forget about this?

Never underestimate the effect something like this can have on a person. You also never know when someone has been through similar or other trauma before, and even a "simple" groping can trigger a strong emotional response. Even in the absence of such, she may simply feel unsafe if the  security at an event can't be trusted. It's OK to be disappointed that a player isn't playing, but it's best to accept that her decision was best for her; it's not our right to judge one's response to such a highly personal incident.

In my experience, while women are not glass fragile, I find that sometimes, these things are discussed as if sex differences and the potential for different feelings by sex towards the same act are not reasonable. And the individuality of experience that you brought up is also extremely important. You don't know what about someone's background makes something a trigger experience.

Finally, it is not like anyone has been criminally charged or something like that - it is just a player exercising their right to do what they want to do. Might not be what the country wants, but it is very different from what sometimes happens when accusations are made.

Same pattern - trying to reduce Lily's exposure to pips.

Where do you see the pairings?
Minutes Before the tie scheduled time I could see them by clicking “match centre” under “schedule” tab for that tie, but as soon as the games start it will be removed from “schedule” tab, then I don’t know how to see them again once the first match has started. If anyone knows please share.

WT R32
BRA 2-3 LUX
B. Takahashi 3-1 De Nutte (9, 7, -6, 9)
G. Takahashi 2-3 NXL (9, -10, -6, 9, -8)
Watanabe 2-3 Sadikovic (-9, 11, -8, 9, -7)
B. Takahashi 3-2 NXL (5, 9, -8, -10, 10)
G. Takahashi 0-3 De Nutte (-9, -7, -4)

The fittest and fastest De Nutte I've ever seen. Giulia couldn't receive well De Nutte's BH serve to her FH. The momentum was completely with De Nutte after G1. 1 point from each member, especially Sadikovic. Not much one can do. It's worth noting that BRA 3-2 LUX in group at WTTC 2024, where De Nutte 3-2 B. Takahashi but 2-3 G. Takahashi.

Ironically, POR (topping LUX in group here and also R1/R16 of WTTC 2022 and PO/R32 of WTTC 2024) lost to ITA 1-3.

The format is funny cause you have a designated carry in two matches (2 and 4), then hope you have a good matchup to get the third win. 62 year old Granny Ni is the carry for Luxemborg and is 50% of the way to filling that role.
No carry for Luxembourg, all their players winning, a lone one for Brazil however.
