Playing too much backhand in matches

In training i have good fh topspin i can keep the ball on the table with good quality and my legs are fast, but once i play matches or random combination. I forget how to use legs and stay glued to the ground and A. play backhand on forhand side B. play forehand with arm only wihout any legs or weight transfer so its slow and bad quality. How do i transfer my good form into matches?

The answer is as boring as it gets: by doing it.
Play matches. Use practice matches not to win but to practice.

Some people in the club keep telling me I take so much risk playing them for practice, but I keep telling them that I can't learn if I don't try it out.
Of course, you can also practice your safe game. If that's what you want to improve.

Be conscious of your foot positioning when you train and when you play. Many players train forehand and backhand out of very different stances even when they are not very athletic, and don't remember that they are transitioning from one to the other when playing forehand vs backhand or backhand vs forehand. So it is important to 1) train using forehand and backhand in drills 2) train using forehand and backhand in drills out of a single foot positioning (square to the table/ neutral or very mild forehand stance or very mild backhand stance ( you should be able to try and play your forehand and backhand to all positions on the table out of all three positions) and 3) introduce serve and receive before using forehand and backhand so that you are connecting all the foot positioning that happens in a point.

The issue is less about stroke execution but more about how flexible and similar your practice use of your strokes are to your matchplay situations. Even now, I still have something like this issue as do many advanced players who have not been able to eliminate or improve a specific kind of serve/receive to rally transition.

Falkenberg is your friend.

if

you are an aged club uncle then here is my very own patent pending move yer arse drill.

BH-BH-BH then pivot and use FH to bomba until someone misses. all done from the bh corner. Partner role is just to block all ball to the bh corner.
