Fastarc G1 vs Mantra Pro H on backhand

Hi folks, I'm looking forward to try out some new rubbers on my backhand and would like to know the main difference between these two.

I've been playing for 2 years now and lately I'm using G1 on my backhand.
Because I rarely loop on bh, mostly open ups and punch blocking, I wanted some extra speed.

How does the Stiga Mantra Pro H compares to G1?
I'm getting mixed feedback on the reviews I'm seeing, some people say it's very spin sensitive and others say it's not sensitive at all.

Anyone tried these two rubbers? Also, feel free to recommend any other rubber!

G1 is softer and has more grip from the topsheet. Pro H is less sensitive to spin, and I also feel it is less grippy. Since Pro H is harder I think it is more powerful than G1 but also less bouncy, you need to hit harder with it to get the speed. If you like punching I'd recommend the M version over the H.

From my experience Fastarc G1 is spin oriented while Mantra Pro is "speed oriented" like T05 vs T64.
Mantra Pro is not reactive to spin but at the same time it's not very grippy/spinny. The arc is much lower compared to Fastarc G1. Fastarc G1 has a huge arc while being also really fast on medium shots. I've played with Mantra Pro for a while on my backhand but didn't enjoy the Fastarc G1 on the backhand. Both are good rubbers and depends on what you want/need.
Both are really durable but the Mantra Pro top sheet looks ugly after a while.

For me personally I like rubbers that are not so sensitive to spin but can create some decent spin as well. Made in Japan is particularly strong in this area - D64/T64/Glayzer/Rozena, Z2 and Mantra Pro.

So, I much prefer Mantra Pro H to G1, though only drawback for MPH is it always seems abit too bouncy in the short game and short service - G1 stays relatively dead from the low to middle gears and grips the ball better/longer.

The bounciness from MPH during receive is somewhat similar to T05 though without the famous high spin sensitivity.

I have my Mantra Pro H 2.1 on BH of Stiga Cybershape Carbon and it’s a great pairing overall. Though yes the topsheet looks cosmetically bad after less than a few hours usage but doesn’t really affect performance as it’s not a grip first rubber.

For what I require on BH (durability, low spin sensitivity, heavy backspin push potential, excellent grip for safe open up, passive + punch down block/rally) I rank as follows:

S Tier: D64, Glayzer
A Tier: Mantra Pro H, V>20DE
B Tier: G1, V>15E, Vega Asia
Quitting TT Tier: T05, Barracuda Big Slam, any tacky Chinese

I have tried D64 on bh but found it not very safe so now I'm testing G1 and hopefully MPH in the near future.

I bought a sheet of Pro Galaxia recently because PaddlePalace started stocking it and they have an introduction sale, I don't think its that similar to Pro H, but it does have a distinctly Japanese feeling. I'd say it feels closer to what a Glayzer Hard version would be, if anything- firmer, less reactive, but more stable and more supportive when hitting more aggressively. It doesn't shoot as aggressively like Pro H and I also think it doesn't quite spin or grab like Glayzer can, but it draws an arc more strongly and predictably than Pro H, and it doesn't wash out as strongly as Glayzer when hitting hard especially at a distance.

Where do you place Hammond Z2 in your tier list?
I'm also curious on why you prefer Glayzer vs MPH.

Z2 is quite similar to Mantra Pro, for me within ~10% in playing characteristics where it wouldn’t be difficult to adapt over time.

Z2 is not on my list just due to the fact it’s always around double the price even when on T11 weekly sale.

Mantra Pro is a no brainer when buying it off AliExpress.

Glayzer is higher as it’s far more durable, better grip and better short game. D64 adds similar speed as MPH with more spin potential without the short game drawbacks.

If not for the price, D64 would be in its own tier for me.

Yes Z2 really is overpriced outside of Japan, where it cost the same as G1. On sale one of if not the best Daiki rubber. I wonder where Blastac will settle in.
Mainly played Z2 on FH due to many circumstances leading to that, but when I tried it on backhand it was definetly more forgiving and bouncy compared to D05.

I got Z2 a month after it was released, I liked it but it wasn't durable enough for me and a bit faster than G1 that I used at that time. That made me try Mantra Pro M which was a lot more durable than Z2 and after a week or two I loved it as it is more bouncy than G1 and just a bit faster. After paying months with it I step up to Mantra Pro H 2.0mm. As durable as Mantra Pro M and I find it quite cheap.
