Need Advice On Hinoki Blade (J-pen)

I am looking for a lighter rubber, and came across Victas v11 extra.
What do you guys think about? Is it too different from fastarc g1?

V11E is a good rubber, but softer and milder than G1. Still no slouch though. Swat Spin is especially lightweight but its also fairly soft. I really like Mantra Pro M, Glayzer and Rozena although they all provide different flavors of rubber. I'm also testing the new Blastac but its a fairly aggressive rubber, might be hotter than what you're looking for (although not as aggressive as Hammond Z2)

I purchased a Kokutaku sponge edge tape, waiting for it to be delivered.

The only issue I am having is that the blade is very head heavy, and my wrist is getting sore drilling backhand.
My old blade was a Garaydia Revolver R that was 55grams lol.
My Cypress is 98grams.

I know a clubmate who has injuries and got the V11 for that reason and yes it is very light. Can't remember how it plays. Victas tend not to be that durable.

I think your wrist will strengthen with time. With one rubber, it will still be fairly light - it's just a massive increase in weight. 55g + 1 rubber must be one of the lightest bats at your club! I'd happily swap my 94g for a 98g but it's all beaten up now so wouldn't be a great trade!

I hope the Kokutaku works for you. I just had more faith in the triple layer Nittaku edge tape but not sure which is more protective.

I think you were right about getting accustomed to the weight.
After 3-4 more hours of robot training, the blade didn't feel as heavy or clunky.
The change in weight was pretty drastic. I hold my old blade now and it feels like it's a plastic toy lol

.Personally I prefer using a spinny modern pip with a thin sponge. 802-40 with 1.5mm 35d sponge.

I just glued 802-40 and it was GREAAAT!!!

Very intuitive for me, way better than inverted rubber. TPB shoto is faaaaar easier and more stable with sp. Flat hits are so satisfying. Looping is also possible because this sp is still so spinny.

I bet 10.5mm hinoki will be more fun. With the 9mm i wished for a bit more power and speed.

The H3 still lifted the ball but only for around 3-4 seconds.

If I made a video with my robot hitting fh's and bh's, do you guys think you would be able to tell me what kind of rubber would better suit me?

I think that would be quite difficult. You'd need to judge from match play what shots you play under pressure, essentially the distance from the table, when you are contacting the ball, how thickly you contact the ball, balance between speed and loop drive, the shape of your swing etc.
It's easier just to copy what Park PD is using if you want to play that way.
Maybe even reach out to him with some videos of your match play and he might be able to recommend something. He's not too famous, so wouldn't need to go through a PR agency 😄
