Okay with QF today, my predictions and my subjective winning probability estimate:

Sora over Jang - 75%
Harimoto over A. Lebrun - 51%
Qiu over Oh - 75%
Lebrun over Shinozuka - 65%

Miwa over Shin - 80%
Wang over Zhu - 75%
Chen over Odo - 90%
Kuai over Hayata - 90%

Not really, all that counts is the result, my subjective feeling is just my take on the fact that some matchrs feel closer than others.

7 points in a row for Matsushima in G7, winning that point at 7:4 took the last breath out of JWJ. He didn't step around for one single FH after that.

Pretty good match. I thought Jang's reverse pendulum would be the decider, but Sora willed his way to the win.

Thats the convenient narrative but that is not what was on display. Sora definitely earned that. Thr match was just as close as the Oh vs Qiu match.

More surprised by JWJ's performance. But that calm Sora at the end is quite fresh.

Sure. Doesn't change the fact they were both 4-3 matches that could have gone either way. Most people would find the Sora - Jang match far more exciting, Jang's backhand upgrade and serves matched Sora for sure.

Mizutani: Shinozuka, who was chosen as the 3rd member, is a player with very good tactics. His ability to read the psychology of his opponents is probably the best in Japan.

Shinozuka has this rare quality, the ability to "correct" his match flow after a run of points and "choose" the best course of action when it gets tight, when many other players would lose their composure.

Beating Felix twice now as well as Hugo is a level jump. Nuff respect to Shinozuka. His previous win was in my subjective estimate but it is impressive he finished the job.
