Q．ダブルスについて
張本選手とは何回か組ませてもらって、全日本選手権で組んだんですけれども、まだまだ選考レースの途中で何回かしか練習できずに試合だったので。
もちろん試合をして足りなかった部分やいい部分も見つかったんですけど、まだまだダブルスとしては、もっと試合だったり練習っていうのが必要だなっていう風に思いましたし。
とくに五輪の舞台はもっともっとふだんの試合より大事で緊張する場面だったり、重要な大会なので。
もっとそこでももっといいプレーができるように、練習をすること、試合をすることっていうのがとても大事っていうのが、東京五輪の石川選手とのダブルスでも感じたので。
私たちがダブルスを組む可能性もあると思うので。もっともっとこれからは積極的に大会に参加したり、練習も毎日同じ練習場ですから、毎日（練習）することも不可能ではないと思うので。
できるだけ毎日練習して、ダブルスの強化もたくさんしていきたいと思います。
Sounds like Ito did it herself. Isolating herself to 'focus on single". She was a decent/good double partner. Now, not only she did not make the single spot, she did not even get picked for team due to her lack of double results....a lose lose situation.
Yet Shinozuka beat Jorgic whereas Togami failed. Shinozuka got 2 MS titles in 2022 (beating Jorgic and Jarvis) before his herniated disc wiped his form out in 2023. Togami still has none. Shinozuka came close to beating LGY in MS of ATTC 2023 (led 2-1 and was slightly ahead in early G4 IIRC). I think he still hadn't found his form back the last time Shinozuka played Pitchford at WTT CS Frankfurt 2023 and at that point his focus had shifted to domestic results.
what happen to the Team Event where doubles games are played? No longer available?
That's the team event - it's not MD or WD. IT's still there. But the Japanese can field any combination of players in the doubles match.
The Hungarians are mercurial and experienced and Togami and Shinozuka have time to figure it out. Let's remember that Mizutani and Niwa got it done in the end vs the Koreans no less. If they can do it, Togami and Shinozuka have hope.
For the Team Doubles, the two Miyuus seems the most likely combi. Am I right?
