The new batch of RXTON 9 has an orange sponge instead of a blue. The 39 has a similar texture to provincial Hurricane blue. (it has stripes that you feel under your finger.
That laser engraving is also extremely similar. I swear I saw it somewhere.

I saw the listing very recently. The backhand one does curl like crazy. I am gonna test them tommorow.

I have one coming in a few days as well, ordered it from Aliexpress as Alibaba didn't have it until a few days ago. I ordered the 37 degree one for BH. I'm trying out the Rxton 7 37 for BH right now and it's a really good H3 37 replacement. Much more clear hand feel, similar hardness, plays basically the same way otherwise. That is, it's incredible for active blocks, but a bit difficult for loops, though easier than H3 due to being easier to hit into and clearer hand feel. I wonder how the Rxton 9 differs.

I don't think so. Reviewers thus far seem to all think that it's got the clear hand feel of the previous Rxton 9 but has more power on harder shots.

I'm testing a bunch of Loki stuff, so hopefully I'll have an idea soon. I've tested the Loki Arthur China (very good), old Rxton 9 40.5 (solid), Rxton 9 Pro (terrible), and I'm in the process of testing the Rxton 7 37 right now. Next up is old Rxton 9 37, and new Rxton 9 OS 37.5.

Easy to control, and the sponge provides plenty of explosive power.

But it’s too heavy. 56g on a VIS with two layers of water-based glue, no booster.

If you want a better experience, you still need to use boosters for it—even though it’s labeled “Boosting-Free”, just like H3N. Since it doesn’t absorb oil very well, it’s best to apply two coats of booster.

I put like 3 layers of Kailin on the sponge and it did not budge much... I bounced the ball a couple of times, it felt a bit lively. I will play with it tonight. I am going to see how it goes.

That sounds about average. My setup is usually 210g (blade itself is 90g). Unless I am doing my math incredibly bad, two of those rubbers on my blade would be about 200g. It makes it lighter than usual then :|

Gan and coach Xiaoyu both reviewed it and said the 40 degree version is about 52-53 grams cut to Vis. Coach Xiaoyu also reviewed the 37.5 BH version and said it's a bit lighter at around 49 grams.

Mine 39 with metric ton of booster came to about 52g. Pardon the gluejob it looks bad on the picture.
