DHS W968 National vs W968 Gold / W968S / Q968 for intermediate player

I'll be honest the main difference between my W968GS and friends HL5 and HWCQ is the 968 feels like a BTY blade when you hit and the commercials feel hollow in the handle. They all play perfectly but 968 feels more satasfaction on a good contact
That is the main difference in your hand feel, the ball came out of W968GS has more spin, lower arc, landing near the end of table more, and the second bounce is low and fast

The quality of any 968 national version is far more better than commercial. And for W968 and W968 golden slam, although they have the same structure, but the feeling of W968 golden is more crisp, stiffer than W968, more balance between FH and BH
it is just manufacturing variation. From batch to batch there can be massive differences in thickness and feeling. That is why pros takes 2/3 blades of each batch and chose according to their liking. Us amateur can mostly ask the seller the weight. If you find a nice seller et can check the card for specific blade spec. And, you can find a commercial HL5 with "better" spec than a w968. Because there is not "best" blade, but the ones that suits you. In that sense, you better find a good HL5 with a specific properties (shown on the card) than a random w968.

If you talking about 968 national, yes you right about manufacturing variation, but the CNT doesn't play with the 968 national we talk about 😂😂😂 but the quality from W968 and HL5 is big different, even if HL5 can have a better stat, but the feeling when playing with can not be compare to W968

Yes my opinion is that for us amateurs normal HL5 is all good and plays great, it's fast and powerful enough, but if one has the money to afford a national blade and does this like another person may buy an expensive car/pokemon card because thats where they get joy in life, then who am i to say not to do it :)

CNT B-teamers and reserves absolutely do play with the 968s you can buy; although they get pick to the nicer ones. There is no elusive 3rd version.

The key players have fully custom stuff, of course. They're not even marked in the same way.

Actually there is 3rd version, but only for who out standing in Youth team or B-team, but today DHS doesn't do that version anymore, they give to those player their own custom blade too

So just a specifically selected generic W968 for a key player? Not sure I'd consider it a special version, I guess for collection only. Is it different otherwise?

The definitions of good and better blades are different for pro and different levels of amateurs. It is amazing and crazy that semi pros are talking about blades within the same thread with beginners or intermediate amateurs.
Yes indeed. But there is no good or bad, but ones that suits you and your skill level. I play GHL5 coz I had an opportunity to get an almost new for 100€, I am top 5% in France, and I see much worse player with even faster blade than me. Despite me, doubting if my blade is not already too fast... I keep it, coz I don't want to change blade too often, and I really do enjoy the feeling, and it is good for my playstyle. So yeah, I agree with you. Most people buy a blade, and have no idea what ply does what to the feel. I saw player wanting more control and more flexible blade, they went for FZD ALC because they like the player and the blades look... 200€ for something that don't suits them. Coaches oftenly don't know about equipment either, they suggest similar things as their setup whatever the playstyle. At least for the 5 coaches I had in my life.

The products actually supplied to players feature superior material quality, rather than being merely selected from existing production stock. These rackets offer more precise feedback, an improved power-to-spin ratio, a higher ceiling for power, and better BH

Source? Ex-CNT and DHS say otherwise.
