I listened to the Japan coach yesterday because they had a really good mic on him. Very succinct, direct and clear advice. Positive and assertive. Not confusing. More edifying and compounding. High signal, low noise. Good stuff.
Sent the player off with a pep in their step ready to go at it.

Ideally yes but his game with WRB in the nationals was pretty close and WRB should be on the way up so I was expecting it to be a little closer especially with the familiarity aspect

He has reached his ceiling tbh, years since he started competing in adults tournament and I haven't seen anything improve from him. He's like a faulty version of Ma Long, a good forehand, weaker backhand that can't defend, impart spin to control the rally, not to mention his serve/receive is shaky, Dima ate him alive with the backhand serve
