It's very intriguing that a guy sending rockets using Viscaria super ALC can lose to Harimoto. Am just talking about play styles. Lim vs Harimoto.

Zhou Qihao couldn't make it past LYJ.

Looks like home advantage, familiarity is a thing after all, else how can Wim best Calderano? What blade is Wim using?

Wen Ruibo, Wim, Tomislov et al, are tall and powerful. How long can they sustain the form? Maybe they should model their play styles on Vladimir Samsonov.

Just some random thoughts. Hope you guys understand
It does not look like anything what Andro has.

To me, I see Joola Vyzaryz HRD. Or similard.

When OJS saved the net ball in game three Togami twiddled his bat to push and twiddled back again afterwards. I don't think I have ever seen that before for a push.
09c is stickier than Zyre, and at the top level, they do all kinds of things in practice and take advantage of them in matches if it works. That sounds a bit less common than twiddling on serve, but players twiddle all the time in matches if it is their style. He probably wanted a certain quality of push and realized that Zyre doesn't push as well as 09c so in order to nail it, he used the 09c.

I've think Togami can play just fine if he switches to 09c on his fore, he's got more than enough power. and the rubber can help him control and defend better. But Zyre just fits his violent playstyle more ig

It also makes him vulnerable and he makes too many errors at crucial points. Maybe he needs to look at his equipment. I think he has way too much power.

He has been using 09c on his forehand for a while. In my experience, most olayers trry to reproduce their powerr nonmatter what they use, we just can't always see the nuances as observers.

Germany's got an exciting young player in Wim Verdonschot. Takes everything early on the backhand. What a big win over Hugo!
I should go find all my posts about Verdonschot and Bertelsmeier.... but yeah. Germany has good young players.

If you do dig out some old posts about Verdonschot please do link them here. I was blown away by his speed and power yesterday, as was Hugo!!!
Hadn't even heard about him before now but he has a hugely impressive style and his speed and timing to take everything so early.... 😲🔥

I saw the point you described and i got it wrong, he actually thought the ball had less spin amd tried to use Zyyre because it was less sticky to give it more pace but popped it up much more than he thought. I suspect he doesnt like pushing from so far back with sticky 09c

Here is one after he played Fan in TTBL:

Another from when he trained with @Dan in Germany.

As you see, i can be an oracle too if i cherry pick all the times I am right and forget all the times I am wrong.

Bertelsmeir and Verdonschot are it for Germany. Stumper seems to have fallen off the wagon but with Germany, you have time to fix yourself so I wouldn't seeiously write off anyone.
